A quick question, how do thing's such as trap cards work when we aren't in a duel? Do we need to let them sit for a while or can we just activate them?

I feel like they work similarly to Secrets in Hearthstone in that its like you literally lay a trap and wait for someone to get caught in it. Like Trap Hole, for example, could be a hidden hole that enemies would fall into.

Because trying to stuff Fate/Whatever's engrish and the title of a 17th century book on statecraft into Pokemon syntax tends to make the content incomprehensible.

It doesn't really work like that in yugioh though, some traps do work in that way and have triggers but there are many more that don't and can just be activated at any time after being set for one turn.

Yeah, for Yugioh traps, they work more like Counterspells that you have to place.

I would just say assume you waited a bit when dealing with yugioh traps

How would MtG's Instants work in this written format? Since the opponent's turn is most convenient to write in one post, if a player wants to use an Instant during the opponent turn, something may have to be retconned.

Is this game interesting enough to deal with my really slow update speed? Be honest.  I have a different game I could run faster if this isn't working out.

I WANT this game to exist, because I've always had a soft spot for over-the-top shounen anime
This isn't actually an ott shounen anime game, and daisuke is not a character that can reasonably produce scenes where you'd be forgiven if you confused it for one
but still
