What do you think dwarves like creatures for? You know what I mean, "she likes elephants for their trumpeting".

Why not "he likes lions for their wild manes"? or "sad little faces after they have been given a bath, drooping mane and all"?

It would be really awesome if we could slowly amass a huge number of these preference strings for creatures, they could be bundled up at released as a mod.

I believe somebody's done this before to some extent. Like, adding 5 prefstrings to each domestic animal. I'm pretty sure it happened, but I have no idea how I'd go about finding it.

Anyway, I suggest "rhinoceroses for their thick skin" (in real life it's 1.5-5 cm) so I contribute at least something.

If a creature has more [PREFSTRING]s is it more likely to be chosen as a Dwarf's favourite animal?

If so, then it would be useful to add more strings specifically to domestics or animals Dwarves would like particularly much (we can probably dupe the tags to increase chance).

If you guys want quick ideas, you can simply add descriptions for their skin. Like "Urist likes ___ for their fur/scales/hide/chitin"

Someone mentioned in the Modest Mod thread that they were working on a module that would add additional prefstrings. (No silly ones though).

My personal mod includes dingos for taking babies, giant dingoes for taking giant babies, and eagle men for their low rates.
