I didn't save any gold for the update so I've just opened 2 packs and gotten 1 prismatic so far (it was an epic card), so I don't have any statistically significant data, but if I had to guess there's probably the same chance of any card you open to be prismatic, it would just make sense.

There is a thread gathering data, and i was chatting with him last night during a tournament stream and i think he said he should have almost 2k card data and will be posting the results on Monday which is a solid data size to get some good numbers from. Most people saving gold etc for the expansion so should have a lot of data from when that hits.

Started this yesterday, and been having a lot of fun! I've been maining as Vetruvian, but I have both a Vanar deck and an Abyssian deck too.

Got some pretty good cards for my first few spirit orbs, and a couple of prismatics, too!

Glad to hear it DigitalDemon and a great time to get into it, as the expansion is expected in August/September and they've already got the next 4 planned out.

Sadly no balance changes, but their isn't anything super OP atm. But at the same time this could mean the expansion is close and the balance changes will be bundled in there.

Game took another step recently with one of the top players getting a sponsorship deal, and in August we have the Pro Circuit(see link below) starting up so no doubt a few more sponsorship deals will be done.

Counterplay did make a bit of a balls up though and put the patch out during the middle of it /fail so there was a delay after the 1st set of games but still turned out great in the end. CP need to get a proper spectating mode done though as it's a bit messy showing both hands atm.

Several tournaments are run each week, sometimes even new player friendly ones with decks limited to cards upto Rare quality.

Bought two expansion orbs so far!

Got the abyssian battle pet, and some good neutral, magmar, vetruvian and vanar cards.

All in all, I'm starting to formulate my strategies of my 4 decks more (Vanar, Magmar, Vetruvian and Abyssian), so I'm not just taking the coolest cards. Current fave is Vanar, with Blue-haired Zarya general (level 11 unlock). I really want the alternate skin for her, which is tempting me to buy the epic key to this crate I got. I have about 1000 spirit right now, so yeah...

I've opened 37 orbs so far, my main faction is magmar so of course RNGesus gave me very few cards for him QQ

Kara is very strong, or at least was least season and so should be this really, maybe not top tier anymore though, remains to be seen what decks turn out to be best obviously as it's only a few days into the expansion. Vetruvian is now super strong with his new cards though.

Have been consistently losing, and I'm really stumped as to what is wrong with my decks... Friend who watched replays of my games said I played really well, I just got bad luck, but if you keep getting bad luck, isn't that your fault in a deck building game?

Anyway, any advice for decks? I play Magmar 2nd general, Vetruvian 1st general, Abyssian 2nd general, and Vanar 2nd general.

Sometimes the cards don't fall in your favour and they do for your opponent and you can go on loosing streaks, it happens, happened to me end of last month where i lost 6-7 or so in a row.

Ahh but i see you said Starhorn for Magmar, hmm he's still considered the weakest general and i've never reallly played him, people mainly go Mechaz0r for him or a pet based build. But still post your deck and i should be able to offer some insight.
Vetruvian is extremely strong atm, probably the best overall unless you're a demon with songhai. Kara still very strong and consistent.

I use battle pets, but I mainly use the drawing cards to either power up my Visionar, or destroy the opponents cards (when they have a full hand). It's also just a handy last-ditch attempt. I sort of main magmar, but I switch between using that, Abyssian, Vanar, and Vetruvian. The Abyssian is currently my weakest deck, and my top two are either Vetruvian and Magmar or Vetruvian and Vanar.  I can PM you with the decklist.

Yes Starhorn is going well enough now since J won the recent Eyos tournament with it last week, i was debating posting it here but wasn't sure if it'd be out of budget for him esp as Jax isn't exactly meta atm, then it slipped my mind in the end. So i'll add links now:
