[Axt, God of Enchanted Weapons]
"You are a fool. There are 20 other gods who can corrupt a champion under your proposal. In a 20 against 1 scenario, who do you think is going to win? Having strong champions who are all corrupted beyond imagination will make us look weaker than having multiple minor champions.

If you wish to have a corruptible champion, you make them so when you are creating it. You will not force your ideals on the rest of us."

"It is not I who wish for a paradise. A world where no action has consequence, where one's champion is incorruptible and ever loyal.
One suggests a 20 against 1 scenario, as if it has a point. If one enters such an unbalanced battle, one will never win, even with the perfect lapdog.
If one do not wish to have corrupted champions, one should not let them be corrupted. One should coddle them for eternity, never letting them know pain or misery.
Gods cannot corrupt a champion in any way the world cannot already. For the champion cannot be controlled, they will ever be able to resist.

If one wish to make an incorruptible champion, one should make a lapdog. One will not force one's ideals upon the champions.
If a champion grows unhinged, one should let them rest, if a champion is tainted, one should have them cleansed.
There is no corruption which one cannot prevent. But no immunity shall ever be granted, for that will only serve to make them lesser.

One speaks of appearing weak, one seems insecure, one seems weak. Maybe one is weak, and that is why they worry over showing it.
Trying to ever look strong, to never show weakness, especially to the weakest, or rather, the ones one think is weakest.
"
Axt smiles at Saukko.

Rhythmic booming emanates from Saukko's cloud as he laughs heartily.

"I would stick to your weapons if I were you, Axt. You don't suit the role of psychologist. You too easily confuse pragmatism for insecurity.

How the mortals perceive the gods is everything when it comes to worship. If any one of us is made to look weak in the eyes of the mortals, we are all made to look weak in the eyes of the mortals. If they start to question our ability to look after them because we cannot keep a single agent - supposedly an extension of our divine being - from being corrupted, they will soon think they don't need us. If they don't think they need us, they won't worship us. If they don't worship us, we will receive no Essence, and we will die.

I suggest a 20 against 1 scenario because the other gods have their own agendas, and I can't imagine any of them involve the other gods benefiting from their agents remaining loyal and uncorrupted. If you hear twenty voices telling you to do bad, you will not hear the one voice urging you to remain strong and do good. it is a foolishly broken concept. It would be amusing, if you were not attempting to have us enact this as the system we use to create our agents!

Indeed, it would be quite pointless to have an agent to carry out duties in your stead when you have to check in on them every single Tick to make sure they are doing what you asked them to do, and that they are not being swayed by other divine beings or mortal vices. Better to have no agent at all than one created by your system."

"No, it is not. One can have weak gods, some are. If the mortals think all gods weak if there is one weak god, then they are fools.
And having incorruptible agents, while making one seem powerful, also contributes to stagnation, and I will never support that.
Champions are not an extension of the gods, while they hold semi-divine power, it is not linked to any god.
They are beings, which can serve the gods, but has no obligation to. And that speaks of greater strength than any show of force.
If mortals think they do not need us, they will be soon reminded why they do. The ever chaos will make it so.
"

"There is only danger of mortals losing faith, when nothing happens. The only danger, is stagnation, stability, and peace.
Yes, peace is nice, it is a time to rest, but it shall not be ever. Ever peace will only bring stagnation, which is where every god will die.
By making separate spheres of earth, one has taken a step to this stagnation, to this ultimate twilight.
When Ragnarok comes, it was not by my hand.
"

"Just because the gods disagree does not make them enemies, and one is a fool if one thinks so. If a god does tell one's champion to do bad, then what will the champion think?
Without respect, a god's word means nothing. If one is respected, one is heard, so one must earn the respect of a champion.
If one does not like having to put in effort, one can always just make one's lapdogs. It is not I who are making this the only system for creating agents, that fault lies entirely with oneself.
If one wants one's lapdogs, go ahead, but do not call them champions. This system does not ban all other agents, and one is a fool for thinking so.
My system is not for creating dogs, it never will be, for I value people, for they can act in their own will. One's true will, not an illusion put into a dog.
"

"One assume too much, one assume that the insidious is quick, one assume that free will makes only enemies.
No corruption takes a tick, it is true folly to think so. At that point, they are bathed in taint while injected with even more taint.
And free will seldom makes enemies, because free will is free, and enemies hold no advantage on their own.

"Death gives life meaning, to rob one of it, is the ultimate cruelty."

"If you believe this, my dear, why is it that you are so opposed to the ultimate twilight? I mean, beyond how dull it would Though that's not to say I disagree with your idea. A Champion and an Emissary are rather different beasts, after all..."

"Oh, and I'd also ask those opposing the Legendary Trait what about it they dislike. I can guess Munroe's answer, of course."

She smiles sweetly at Saukko.

"You worry too much, my dear. There is little for the mortals to fear save the gods themselves, really. Famines pass, and other dangers are quite easily handled. But have a little fire in your heart! What is reward without risk? And where's the fun in living if nothing interesting ever happens?"

"Perhaps I do, but it is wise to be aware of the potential hazards of any course of action that is tabled for the Council's perusal. I would be failing in my duty as a member if I were not to point out any flaws I see in any proposals, and I expect the same of all the other deities, no matter the scale of the proposition.

As for an explanation behind my opposition to the Legendary trait: it is too expensive, and I don't feel it should allow extra levels of scale for other traits either."

Tick 12.0: At Least Noone Brought up Constellations

Essence continues to leak out from Xenia! (Xenia: -2E)

Xenia Satis has been struck down!

Xenia's corpse has disintegrated into sickly green-blue dust.

Ascald has created the Scamall, a race of nonmagical gas giant dwellers.

Axt has assigned each group of Mennesker a different environment so as to select for different groupwide propensities.

Mischief has created two small nodes and two tiny nodes of Journalism near populated areas. (Mischief: -6E)

Malakath has created 1000 Sari adapted to space near the sun. (Malakath: -3E) The baby observed has been repaired. (Malakath: -0E)

Kyuu has found some reasonably expansive sea caves, reinforced them, and created 160 Pelagic Pioráiní to live in them. (Kyuu: -17E)

Isgon has attempted to remove the nonexistent leyline of Sloth under Ka.

Sacohpiocutr'ron has created 4000 more Cemreig and a tiny node of Conversion (incapable of performing the desired function) in the waterless desert. (Sacohpiocutr'ron: -17E) Nevertheless, Sciathan has warned the Keardai not to trust such strange pools.

Zurion has created a small node of Turtle and a small node of Discipline near the Chaos node. (Zurion: -4E)

Zurion has offered 2E to Luuc, which Luuc declines.  Zurion has also sent dreams to the wizard, who remembers something vaguely about fighting and about a node of Discipline, thus continuing the feuding on wizard island.

The keeper of the turtle temple at the tiny turtle node notes that a turtle temple built in the savannah would be very much unlikely to be used for its intended turtose.

Interesting leylines projecting from the wizard island Discipline node include Journalism, which could probably use more Discipline.

Luuc has created a medium node of Underworld in the Underworld and defined beings entering the Underworld as dead and subject to Underworld policy. (Luuc: -4E) Luuc has also created 500 demons to stay in the Underworld and run it, ruled by George, King of the Demons. The suffix "aas" may or may not be the genitive suffix in their language (which may or may not exist), which may or may not lead to such constructs as George Luuc-aas, "George of Luuc" being brought up in mutual attempted murder cases. (Luuc: -0E)

Zurion has created the Academia Disciplinae. Unfortunately, nodes do not seem to work properly beyond the material plane without further definition of nodes/leylines.

Atian has defined the uninhabited flatlands around the Eastern Lands as the Akri Mountains.

Munroe has created 500 Fulminates. (Munroe: -2E)

Malakath has given Munroe 4E and Saukko 1E. (Malakath: -5E, Munroe: +4E, Saukko: +1E)

Munroe has created 1000 more Fulminates. (Munroe: -4E)

Jhaniz has gone on a retreat to live with the Mezhai and help them. Sollia has created a Fire node in the form of a hot spring called Tempest centered around Axtfell. (Sollia: -1E)

The Paperboys have announced that they will stop the export of printed materials to wizard island unless they stop experimenting on the nodes there.
There appear to be more fights than usual everywhere.
The Draki have begun conquering the ancestral Draki lands

No one this Tick qualified for influence income, will recheck next Tick. (max. worship income to qualify: Still -0.0E/t) Make a race already! Influence is less reliable!

Suspended actions
Vir: Create 5000 tier one stone dragons (Reason: No support for transforming creatures)
Vir: Create 1000 Mimics on Ka (Reason: No traits given)
Atian: Create Klinkons (Reason: No population given, missing trait about arms)
Luuc: Create non-trivial Demons (Reason: No traits given)

Spend 1E reinforcing Ascalon, then spend any remaining essence creating Scamall.

THE WHIMSY OF FATE FORCES AN ACTION UNTOWARD.

5E: Create 3 pops of Kazhai, small, hunched creatures inhabiting the nooks and crevasses of Axtfell. The Kazhai, unlike the more impressive Mezhai, are a race of organic and relatively short-lived creatures incapable of magicks and not particularly good at everything. Slink-like bipeds each and every Kazhai is socially awkward to the extreme and they find it extremely difficult to make friends with other races. Regardless, Charon loves them as his own, calling them groupies behind closed doors. The elite of Axtfell, the Mezhai and immortal bards, consider them as Charon's practical joke, something to endlessly annoy them in their immortal lives. The Kazhai desperately want to be noticed by their upper-class neighbours, but are often rejected.
4*0.75*0.75*0.75*1= 1.6875E/pop
Basic Trait Changer: [CHARISMA]-1 : 0.75
Basic Trait Changer: [SIZE]-1: 0.75
Nonmagical : 0.75
Environmental Specialisation [Axtfell]: 1.0

Quote
Trait Amendments: Scaling Traits/Traits with multiple possible ranks cannot be scaled above +6 without the Legendary Trait. With the Legendary Trait, they may be scaled up to +10 if desired.
Legendary[x50]: The creation is protected by the vagaries of fate itself, and can recover from even the most grievous of wounds. It is nigh-impossible to truly kill the creation, though forcing it to take time to recuperate is very much possible. The creation also does not suffer from the effects of age or wear, and cannot die of starvation, thirst, or lack of sleep, though if it normally requires these, a lack will still be extremely detrimental. Additionally, it is less expensive to grant the creation other traits. For traits, the cost multiplier's difference from 1 is halved. ((BaseTraitCost-1)*0.5)+1=Final Trait Cost. Upon requesting perusal, the Council may deem certain Traits to be less expensive for creations with Legendary than others, or more expensive. It takes two ticks before such a request may be approved, and determining if it is approved follows the normal Council rules for SUPPORT/OPPOSE of the adjusted price. Legendary is a Price-Adjusting Trait, and is incompatible with other Price-Adjusting Traits.
SUPPORT

Quote
Blood Drinker [x1]: Creature need to drink blood to survive, but gains no additional power from it.
REDUNDANT; SUCH THINGS CAN BE STATED AS FLAVOUR.
OPPOSE
Quote
Propose Trait: Champion [x25]: Can only be applied to creatures capable of worship, these creatures can use semi-divine powers, which can't be fully restrained. They have absolute will, and can break any mind control (even if it's there from the beginning), if they put enough will to it. Creatures with this trait cannot be immortal, and this trait cannot be passed on. Creatures with this trait cannot enter any plane of afterlife, and will be bound to the material world upon death.
