All it does is disadvantage gods who decided to make worshipping races - those who have already abandoned their hope of gaining influence Essence in order to gain the less lucrative but more stable worship Essence. This poll tips the balance squarely in favour of the ones who sat on their asses waiting for influence to kick in at the expense of those who made it possible for them to gain influence Essence in the first place.
What are you talking about? Influence will ALWAYS be much less than worship under the current system, by the way it works. The pole is to prevent a potential issue several have brought up, in that you can currently double your investment in four turns. To put it this way:
Tick One,God One creates 16E worth of worshipers on tick 1 (4E/tick)
Tick 4, God One is back to 20E. God One again creates 16E worth of worshipers (8E/tick)
Tick 6, God One is back to 20E. God One again creates 16E worth of worshipers (12E/tick)
Tick 8, God One is back to 20E. God One again creates 16E worth of worshipers (16E/tick)
Tick 9, God One is back to 20E. God One again creates 16E worth of worshipers (20E/tick)
And just like that, a god is invincible in a little more than a week. The potential for abuse is massive without a system in place.
