Ah you should probably more actively work to improve the system. The thing is one half of the players want to go really creative, the tohers want stats, to get both under one hat without going to complicated means laying the rules from point zero to wherever the players want to go. On the way there will be loss of freedom, but new freedoms spring up with every new law as well. So maybe the ley lines and nodes seem rigid to you, then add on it or create a paralel magic source, I would be willing to accept paralel magic systems, I just don't like any just cause things.

Yea but one should ask why, I mean it is a game of limitless capabilities, yet people always want to be the best and only, even though we could create happily. even if something as destroyed you could in return destroy something as well or just go with it as it fits the story... The only reason why I am promoting lots of laws is because I feel I can't have peace if I let other gods exploit the mechanics too much, because some players want to play very mechanic.

idk, this isn't quite turning out how i wanted to play this character, but it feels like i can't do a whole lot with the whole "storytelling" aspect without having a decent base of worshippers (because essence costs) and generally waiting for the world to get more developed

my main issue with the current system is that it makes it really, really fuckin hard to get anything "special" because you need to put every single goddamn trait through the proposal system

Well you have to understand that there are various forces at play when it comes to making laws.

Some are RP'ing their characters, and there are things people are going to vote for and against.

There's also meta considerations, the biggest being keeping the game simple for KJP.

We don't want OP beings kicking about because some people are better at creating flavour than others. Traits seem to be the fairest way to do that, as people have to limit themselves to what they can afford.

Divine agents/angels/devils were generally the powerful special things you talk about. They usually had plot armour.

We've forgotten the most important thing!

Anti-Fusil measures!  :P

But seriously, if Munroe turns out to be as bad as Fusil, I expect this incarnation of the Council to have an us damned spine.

Well, time to take another shot at creating the stats, mostly cutting though.
Spoiler: Droplet Traits (click to show/hide)
Hm... better, but still way too high.
I can't really compromise a whole lot, because it'd change how they work.
The endurance, immortality, not alive, and vampire comes from being living weapons that drink blood. And if I compromise on endurance, they might break.
And the specific stats are because they augment strikes by moving when wielded, increasing the accuracy and power of attacks.

Well, better just cut to the case.

The strength, that's fine, though not entirely clear.
Endurance is the only durability trait, there's no protection trait, which would be nice for telling just how durable something is.
And steel has a lot of durability.
Specific attributes are a bit overpriced for the limitation which is on the Droplets. Oh, and if it was 1.25 it would make a more round number.
Size, could really do with some examples, like multiplication of human size.
Flight, just fine.
Affinity, is too expensive compared to magic ability, having a 5th for the price of half.
Immortality, and Not Alive, making elemental beings require using both of these traits, adding a really big cost.
Martial Arts, there doesn't seem to be anything for natural weapons, so having to pick high rank on this just adds a really high cost.
Vampire, there is no version without getting more powerful, which would be very nice for the Droplets.

So I need to create new traits in order to make my Droplets, therefore it's likely the droplets will stay dormant.

Dropping out. Meow doesn't work with such an abstract system.

Any plans on making a new character? It always feels empty when a major player leaves.

Yea but one should ask why, I mean it is a game of limitless capabilities, yet people always want to be the best and only, even though we could create happily. even if something as destroyed you could in return destroy something as well or just go with it as it fits the story... The thing is, the fist game was fairly mechanics light and worked great. The problems with it came from the strain that this puts on the GM. If we go back to a system like that, the game would die quickly. So far, this game has actually been pretty good for KJP workload (Check the current ticks VS the old ones) and it is still fairly high (he has to read all the pages of nonsense we put out :P.).

Munroe has no spine. Plan=foiled.

Hm. What if you think of some negative traits that could help counteract the price?

It didn't feel empty when I couldn't find this in time and had to join late? I'm hurt, Stirk.

It felt empty then too :0. And FArgHalfnr, Demonic Spoon, Lemonpie, Dreamerghost, Andres, Gman, etc. Naming everyone who should be here but wasn't would just take forever.

Immortality is covered by Not Alive, Happy Demon. Needing to drink blood covers the whole repair bit anyway. You could just have one level of Affinity and one level of Endurance. A single level of size should be alright as well, and Specific Dexterity alone should do fine for in weapon form. Don't really need Martial Arts, since they are weapons, and natural weapons is a matter of flavor. They are meant to be better while wielded, after all.

Stuff is expensive, so count on it having a large effect.

Innate Magic would solve a lot of these problems, I think. (Hint hint :p) Including KingMurdoc's problem. Means certain types of 'traits' are vote-out instead of vote-in.

Yeah, they're better when wielded, but these are Original Droplets, borne from divine actions.
So I'm not sure if full body incineration is covered in Affinity 1.
They're supposed to be 4 times human size, I'm unsure if Size alone covers that.
And they can hold their own alone.
Hm...
Thing is, I can't make them too weak, as then, in order to make the lesser droplets weaker, I have to make them have almost no powers at all.
The Original Droplets have to have greater affinity than Greater Droplets, as that's how I've written them.
