@Stirk

Nein. This ye gods is much to abstract for me to enjoy working with. I like feeling like there is a solid base to things when I play a god game. This feels like the players are expected to build said base in a not so stable manner of democraticness.

Yeah, they're better when wielded, but these are Original Droplets, borne from divine actions.
So I'm not sure if full body incineration is covered in Affinity 1.
They're supposed to be 4 times human size, I'm unsure if Size alone covers that.
And they can hold their own alone.
Hm...
Thing is, I can't make them too weak, as then, in order to make the lesser droplets weaker, I have to make them have almost no powers at all.
The Original Droplets have to have greater affinity than Greater Droplets, as that's how I've written them.
You can retcon that, or change what your God wants to make, since he's seen what he can make. You can have them reproduce a different way, or, hell, they'll be newborns at the start, small and weak. They have to gather metal, if I remember right, to get big. Vampyric means you get more powerful over time, traits are genetic and differentiated by flavor. All the other races have also been the result of divine action. It's fairly easy to see what I'm getting at here, I think. Hell, I'll probably even help out by making some fire-resistant livestock to live in the area so they don't die immediately. Don't write yourself into a corner/hole, HappyDemon. And in fact, Vampyric means the Original Droplets will be stronger than the Greater Droplets just by virtue of being older. You can also edit races when you get more essence, don't forget.

And right now, there is no actual fire magic, so Affinity would mean their baseline for using my Fire Nodes and eventually the Primal Magic I hope to get is better. It is not, unfortunately, innate. >.> aka it would depend on the Droplet in question and their individual skill level.
Also, they have Endurance, are made of living metal, are physical embodiments of the ideals of the God of Weapons, and are four times human size. They can hold their own just fine. Though speaking of which, what does four times human size mean? Mass, volume, or dimensions?

Hmm, What if a God made a Magic system based on the control of the speed and momentum of atoms? A practitioner could control temperatures at low degrees and slowly move things with their minds at lower skill levels, and later on they could create firestorms and ice-clouds, throw around boulders with their thoughts and so on. It wouldn't be able to harm the Gods enough to warrant opposing it and it could be a Node-Independent source of Power for Mortal Magic-Users. IC, Urthon/Urnoth wouldn't have anything to do with a Magic School like that so I'm not going to bother with it but I figured I might as well throw the concept into the OOC for anyone who's interested.

The weather magic thing can do some of that, just indirectly.

Well yeah, but the atom-based system isn't magical, it mostly just deals with manipulating the existing laws of physics, and as the Gods are above them it has almost no potential to backfire. And, it would be quite interesting to see Weather or not the Rival Practitioners would interact peacefully.

A full week of daily Ticks. I guess I should at least dip my toe into the game.

KJP, when this game dies, please tell us that it's dead. Last time I had a magic system I was planning to introduce saved on my desktop for over a month (might've been several months, can't remember) in the hopes that you were just really busy and that you would return.

What are the rules on creating sapient planets? OP says it's 20E to make a planet but since they're sapient they fall under Sapient Creatures and would thus fall under 1.2.3.a. Do Council rules overrule OP rules or vice-versa?

Can I start posting on IC now?

you need to actually get approved first

and as far as a sentient planet, i'd say they'd cost (20*4)=80E base, but you could make it moon-sized or smaller to bring the price down to something reasonable

Au Revoir then. The irony of instability defeating the Nullish being will live on.

It would probably be easier just to rip your enemies apart with it  :-\. I'm still trying to come up with a school myself now that finals are over.

Given that he has used this sheet in at least three games now, its *probably* going to get accepted.

I generally tell people they can post as soon as they make a sheet. Don't know why I did it, but it has never been a problem in the past.

This is only my second time using the sheet. I haven't used it since YG1.

You joking? You used that character in every version sense then.

And nobody can really say but KJP. KJP isn't here, so listen to your heart to tell you if you can post or not.

No I haven't. I've used the same angel god twice and an entirely different soul/blood goddess the other two times.

My heart tells me I can post, so I will post.

All the exams are graded! Time for the first decent sleep in a week followed by a nice YG tick update! :D

KingMurdoc: Sent an edit bump to revive the PM thread

Andres/Malakath: Added

Andres:
When a YG dies: While I can't really promise I'll post a notification immediately on death (what with the wonky (non-Bay 12?) forum law where those loudly announcing their departure stay forever and those disappearing disappearing forever), I'll at least bunp the old thread when one dies and a new one appears.

Sapient planets: Currently not within the rules, so not creatable

IC: Is the sun green? :P
