You know, I'm kind of curious as to who the "candidate" for the Royal Assassins is. The seemingly obvious one is Shina, except she's a mercenary who was quite ready to leave once she got paid, and is a foreigner and non-human at that, so that makes me think it's not.

Well, actually, there was probably no way Shina would have left. She said so herself; she would've stayed to keep an eye on Lillian and the other 'kids'. She's a mercenary, not a heartless bastard.
