Why would Shina WANT to work for Ludmilla? Ludmilla was both an arrogant shit and racist.

Except she wouldn't. Ludmilla might, MIGHT, have the authority to take her off the current mission, at which point Shina could have gone to town and started going on different jobs.

Exactly. Ludmilla lets her go, and Shina just refuses to work for her again. Win win. Ludmilla even paid her. Plus, the money she could have made on the expedition just gets given by other jobs.

I think Ishtari would make a good leader, considering he was an army general. Nobody seems to realise this.
