Because I don't think like me when I roleplay so I am that character at least for the moment.

That seems a little weird for a huge weapon. You're going to be hitting for a lot, since it's so big. 1d20 is pretty random. Wouldn't, maybe, 3d6 or something work?

The bloodstone ring and Ritual knife Potentially have magic, but it is not specified, since no magic items to start.

Mat level only matters if you make something out of it or upgrade it somehow.  The Ritual Trait is what you were wanting, whether it is or it isn't actually magic, it is still a ritual knife, applicable for rituals.

The bloodstone ring could just be placebo effect, but the point is it does what it says.

5d4 would work. woulden't it?

Actually, that's even better. Thanks.

Still gonna have to alter the fuck out of my character plans, because I was gonna go for steady DPS and this is definitely a Burst Damage weapon, but, like I said, I can work with this.

Hmm, the Bloodstone Ring and Ritual Knife are going to recieve a Dormant Trait.

Dormant means the item is for all intent and purposes Mundane with no magical traits. Shade, This look good or can it be prettied up?

EDIT:And by No magical traits, I mean their normally magical traits are sealed until such a time as the user gets actual magic.
EDIT EDIT: And by Mundane, I mean that the items being Magical are OOC known, not character known, so no metaing that you have a magical item. Any one complains and they become actual mundane items, IE, their base item.

Adding while sealing the other trait until magic is acquired.

And I don't want everyone trying to get a magically Mundane item to start with. I will quickly nope that.

Aight, that bumps bloodstone ring's Mat level to 10, and Ritual Knife's Mat level to 7.

Faded Blood Ring: Another heirloom, stolen by Ishtari on his way out of the den. It supposedly grants the wearer the power to absorb the blood of enemies, and use it to power up attacks, it may just be heresay however.
Class Preference: None
Job Preference: Enchanter/Jeweler
Stat Bonuses: None
Active Effect: Bloodlust (With blood stored) Can buff his next attack for an extra 2d6 damage.
Passive Effect: (Without blood stored) Absorbs the blood of a fallen enemy, if the texts are to be believed.
Mat level: 10
Traits:
(3) Magic?: One truly cannot tell at a glance.  Belief however, is a powerful thing.
Dormant: This object, if it were magic, Is sealed in any case.  The user must first fulfill certain criteria to use this item's Magical effects.

Ritual Knife: A nondescript Ritual Blade.
Item Name: Ritual Knife
Class Preference: Cleric
Job Preference: Unknown, is it metal or something else?
Stat Bonuses: 1d8 HP damage, 1d4 Stamina Damage
Active Effect:
Passive Effect: Inflicts 1d2 Health and Stamina Damage for 1d4 Turns after a successful strike.
Traits: Wickedly sharp: Add Bleed Passive, this is negated if the item has been dulled.
Ritualistic: Unknown effect, if any, it holds some significance.
Dormant: This object, if it were magic, Is sealed in any case.  The user must first fulfill certain criteria to use this item's Magical effects.
Mat Level = 7

Yep, This works. Those items are now just a fancy ring and a fancy knife. (until my diabolical plans come to fruition [insert evil laughter])

It being dormant means it is even harder to work with, since there is sealing in it on top of the magic and other stuff.

One errant notch on a ritual knife could ruin the magic normally, and now, the magic isn't even active to somehow resist damage to it.

You could Unseal it if you had the magic to do so, and by extension, it would be easier to craft with.
