My suspension of disbelief is going critical right now :/

Can someone explain what happened with Niamh ? Why did she suddenly left the tavern and why is she investigating the dragon now ?
I thought she didn't care about the dragon.

Should I assume she left without telling anyone 'Guess I'm going to look for that dragon' ?
