I thought the god of war was a boss in 2 or 3, though.
And I dunno. It makes more sense for Solaire to be the Firstborn, IMO. Obsession with gross incandescence, member of the covenant of the sun (aka Gwyn's whole family), armor set specifically indicating his strength is personal and not from enchantments...
