After I am certain that we lost the military, pull over and call the boys out for a quick meeting.
"Okay, from here on out don't shoot anything unless it's definitely not human and is coming at you. We need to keep quiet and alert, because part of what we are doing is we are putting our lives at serious risk here. One wrong step and you'll end up with your legs melted off, your body fried to a crisp, or compacted into a chunk of rock the size of your fist. Now lets move, stay close.
Start leading them into an anomaly field, and try to keep as many of them alive as possible.

Throw knives at the ghoul's knees while backing away. Hopefully this make them fall over and trip the ones behind them and trip the ones behind them until all the ghouls are fallen down.

Turn 62

The sky turns reddish, rays of sunlight spread around branches of trees. It's evening.

Nardo Polo and Fisk Black

Throw knives at the ghoul's knees while backing away. Hopefully this make them fall over and trip the ones behind them and trip the ones behind them until all the ghouls are fallen down.

Grab a branch off the ground and throw it at them.

[Ghouls: 5] Ghouls have stopped infighting and started moving onward. They've got close to charged field anomaly and stopped there for a while.

Go for the knees! I think that's their weak point! - Nardo instructs companions, then as an example throws another pair of his knives.

[Nardo: 6, Ghouls: 3] While one of his throws succeeded and hit a ghoul straight in it's knee, forcing it to fall into anomaly and make some other ghouls surrounding it collapse on the ground, the second knife flied into a static charge anomaly and got sent back directly at him - carrying anomaly's electric charge!

[1] Nardo was completely surprised by anomalous discharge sending his knife back at him and gets hit torso - knife puncturing right lung and then the charge that it carried completely frying his lung! Nardo have fallen on the ground, unable to cath breath. His right lung won't be of much use.

[Sergeo: 3, Ghouls: 5] Sergei shot a few times at ghoul's knees, but none of them collapse to the ground. Then he tried to attend to Nardo's wounds.

[3] He took a military first aid kit from his backpack and removed the knife from Nardo's chest, then applied a bandage with petroleum jelly to seal the wound. Some air managed to get into Nardo's body though, so Sergei took a syringe and put it in between second and third rib, sucking out the air to prevent the other lung from collapsing.

[Fisk: 4, Ghouls: 5] While Sergei was attending to Nardo's heavy injury, Fisk decided to grab a huge branch that was lying nearby and throw it directly at the swarm. Ghouls reacted quickly and managed to catch the branch, then throw it to the side where it won't slow them down.

Suddenly you all hear a horrifying shriek from the forest to the right side of road.

Swarm: 21 ghouls - some are on the ground.
Nardo: Lost one old throwing knife (second came back).
Nardo: Status changed to Critical

After such a long day you all get slightly hungry and thirsty.

Nix

Two more turns to regain consciousness.

[6] You've lost the military and drove to some smaller forest road, then parked dangerously close to acidic fields anomaly.

Okay, from here on out don't shoot anything unless it's definitely not human and is coming at you. We need to keep quiet and alert, because part of what we are doing is we are putting our lives at serious risk here. One wrong step and you'll end up with your legs melted off, your body fried to a crisp, or compacted into a chunk of rock the size of your fist. Now lets move, stay close.

[4] Shit! That's some serious business right here! You'd better listen to that dude boys, it looks like he's been in this for quite a while. - The huge brute says to other hired thugs. It seems that he's got a lot of influence on them, and luckily he's on Dustan's side so far.

[6] Then Dustan decided to lead them into anomaly. He entered first, taking two of his thugs behind. It was a first time that he entered an acid based one. Dustan's first observation is that there are some safe routes through them where acidity is really low, but they're unstable and can disappear in a blink. Then Dustan saw how artifacts form inside acidic field - the acid starts condensing until it literally assumes form of a jelly, then it compresses into a ball and solidifies. For some reason, the ball pushes back the acid from the anomaly, forming a safe bubble around it.

[1] Dustan gets closer, still following a safe route, but then he mistakenly kicks the artifact, which pushes back acid in the anomaly and surrounds Dustan with dangerously high level of acidity! He's trapped!

[2] The two thugs that followed him were still somewhat close to the way out of anomaly, and when acids started to move, they made a run for the exit. Anomaly still managed to get close and give them serous chemical burns on their arms.

What happened there!? - thug leader seems surprised by their quick return without Dustan. The anomaly started closing around us! We managed to run away, but we don't know what happened to the boss!

[2] Let's take the truck and drive away! - one of thugs shouted from behind.

[5] Silence you fool! We're going to make huge money if that bastard comes back and pay us! We'll wait a few hours and then drive! - Luckily the brute seems to be overtaken by money and won't just leave Dustan without getting money first.

Dustan and his group get a little hungry and thirsty.

Viltriskia Nikita

Run and scream for help

[Viltriskia: 6, Ghoul hounds: 6]

Hounds stop for a while to regain more strenght, seeing that they prey is lying on the ground helpless. But suddenly, Viltriskia managed to break free and escape deeper into the forest. Viltriskia was keeping his eye on hounds giving a chase, completely oblivious of a huge mutant in front of him. It's a humanoidal creature, twice the size of man. It's body is covered by huge chitin plates and it's head is insectoidal with huge spider-like mandibles. He bumps it's back with his head, mutant turns back and looks at Viltriskia confusedly then lets out an unpleasant and ominous shriek.

[Ghouls hounds: 1, Man-eater: 3]

The powerful shriek made ghoul hounds panic and run in a pack in random direction - straight into a crusher anomaly. They all get painfully compressed into flesh balls then thrown out of the anomaly. Man-eater manages to just barely dodge the flying ball of flesh.

[Viltriskia: 6, Man-eater: 5]

Viltriskia also tried to dodge and he succeeded, but he was still in mutant's reach. It quickly grabs Viltriskia's arm and pulls him closer.

All this survival makes you hungry and thirsty.

"I Can hear you, Jerkasses! I'm not dead yet, I'm just stuck. I'd suggest you hunker down for a bit while I work my way out of this, it could take a while."
How far away is the next safest place? If I can jump there, I do so. Otherwise, I wait for a opportunity to move for the artifact.

I run a wide circle around the group of ghouls, careful to avoid being crushed in an anomaly, shooting the entire way. Climb a tree and begin shooting the nasty ghouls.

Take my final dose of "special medicine" and hope the regeneration works. Then get up and join the heavyset scarred russian man with his cheesing the system plan.

Turn 63

Lorence "Lucky" Jackson and Nix

I try to Jump on the Flesh Giants Back

Be still asleep.  Dream of pleasant, non-nightmarish things.

[1] Lorence suddenly wakes up from a strange lethargy and notices that everything in the room was smashed down with great force... and that there is a damned flesh giant running right at him! Lorence tries to jump on it's back, but then the giant leaps forward with it's maw open, catching Lorence!

[5] In the same time Nix still unconscious dreams that he's swimming on his yacht, somewhere in Carribean. He watches emerald tropical waters and an island disappearing in the distance through a window in his bedroom, then enters kitchen, opens a drawer and takes out a bottle of a well aged wine. He takes two crystal cups and goes outside where he meets a woman in a glamourous, probably damnably expensive dress. She had long, dark hair and she was really beautifull. Nix notices a ring on her finger, and then the ring on his finger. He felt somehow strange - he had... strongest feeling of love and happiness he ever felt. Without words they both move on the deck to sunbeds and he places cups at a small table made of exotic wood. As Nix fills cups with wine, she says That trip to Zone was best decision in your life sweethearth! Her voice is calming, somewhat... hypnotizing. Nix was so drawn to it that he spilled some wine on the table. Suddenly he breaks out of this strange trance and stops himself from spilling more wine. She smiles to Nix, and he feels that her words are true. They drink the wine. The taste is really intensive, it's the best wine he ever drank.

[6] Sergei paying no more attention to Nardo draws his AKM again and tries to shoot at the swarm, but again all his bullets fall into crusher!

[4] In the face of overwhelming odds, I say we cheese the system. - Fisk says and moves straight into action. He draws his rifle and starts running around the swarm, swiftly avoiding numerous anomalies in the area.

[Fisk: 1, Ghouls: 1] Then Fisk tries shooting, but suddenly something swaps and jams in his rifle, making it shoot out whole magazine. There wasn't a chance to properly aim with that weapon, but somehow all the ghouls that tried to get into melee with Fisk get hit by bullets and some fall into nearby anomaly.

[6] Seeing Fisk's successes, Nardo decides to take some of his drugs and help him. "on second thought its not that bad i'll be fine" he says and takes the drugs. The last portion instantly starts working, stronger than previous portions. Nardo starts breathing heavily, as now he only has one lung to breathe with.

[Nardo: 3 +1, Ghouls: 5] This doesn't stop him from joining in Fisk's plan. Nardo successfully follows Fisk around and throws a few knives at ghouls. Some of his knives miss and some hit, inflicting light injuries.

[Sergei: 5, Ghouls: 3] Then Sergei join in and finally takes down some ghouls.

Fisk: Weapon jammed, lost magazine;
Nardo: Energized, +1 roll bonus, - Regeneration, lost five throwing knives;
Swarm: 16 ghouls;

Dustan Hache

How far away is the next safest place? If I can jump there, I do so. Otherwise, I wait for a opportunity to move for the artifact.

[6] There's no way he can get out of there alive! I say we should take the truck! - again one of the thugs shouts.

[4] Silence you idiot! We'll wait!

[2] Dustan looks around for closest safe place. There is one quite far away and there's no chance to get there without getting heavily wounded by acid.

[1] Then a huge opportunity comes, as the artifact is slowly rolling back, pushed by wind. It's a chance to both escape and get the artifact. But then Dustan realizes that with each roll the artifact pushes masses of acid towards him. It's a death trap!

Viltriskia Nikita

[Viltriskia: 1, Man-eater: 1] Viltriskia pushes, punches and kicks, flaying wildly in desperate attempt to free himself from man-eater. The mutant is somehow surprised, and also receives a punch in a mandible and you both fall on the ground, tumbling towards nearby crusher anomaly!

Throw the AK at the nearest ghoul and don knuckles. Prepare for fisticuffs.

"Now this might sound a tiny bit insane, but what if we run away instead of trying to fight and -I'm not saying we'll fail and get our faces ripped off- but there's the chance we'll die and get our faces ripped off and I don't know about yous but I would slightly rather having a face and a drink and a whore and my swords back than lying here as a ghoul with its face ripped off, and these ghouls have nothing I want that bad and we have no reason to kill them except to stop them from killing us, at least I don't, so I really think it's in all our best interest to run away and leave these ghouls to enjoy their anomalies and leave us to enjoy the hedonistic pleasures of not being dead. I mean I don't have that much to live for so if one of you decides you would rather beat up some innocent ghouls than keep your blood and organs inside or you just have delusions of invincibility then I guess I'll stay and help you kill them, or if there actually is something to gain from this in which case I deserve to know and exactly one third of the profit give or take, but otherwise I think it's in all our best interests to flee.

Regenerate my lung.
If someone decides to keep fighting then sigh and start throwing my good knives at ghoul knees.
