[5] You continue on running forward, quickly going around spotted anomalies and leaving a great distance between you and the ghoul village. Running into some overgrown fields, you are safe again.

[4] You wake up some time later, your head hurting badly. You go out of the truck's cargo and look what's going on. The truck is lying on it's side, a tree has fallen on drivers cabin, throwing the truck down in the process. All husks seem to be dead for good.

[4] Agreeing with your sister about that rest and safety part of her speech, you follow hear to that house and search around. The controller have arranged himself some comfy, hospitable environment - at least for Zone's conditions. An armchair, a table with some canned meat and moldy bread lying on it, and a bookcase with old books filled with soviet propaganda. There was also an old sofa, that you took as a sleeping spot after barricading entrance to the house.

[1] You go on, moving through the forest and slowly getting forward. Suddenly one of the soldiers is attacked by a strange boar with bloated body and enormous tusks!

[4] You decided to take this occasion and jump back to guards tower, climb down and using front gate get out of this hellish compund. Entering a truck, you notice that these fools left the keys inside. What's more, you'e got half filled tank, so you can drive to nearest big city (Chernobyl) or even get close to Zone's border!

 You holster your gun and the old man invites you inside his hut. He has a small bed, a table with few chairs and a small chest inside.

- Dustan. Pleased to meet you, ser. A surprisingly cozy place you got here, though that fruit tree is a bit unusual. What's it like living out here?

- It's great! There's no annoying noise or people, and radioactivity isn't that big of a threat. Sometimes a controller passes by. We gossip from time to time, they are quite friendly lot, though they tend to be a bit rough upon first meeting. And these orchards? It's a gift of the Zone! These trees bring fruits every week!

Without much hesitation you follow the orders and search for houses marked with radioactivity pictogrammes, just like other military stalkers. You all split up, keeping contact by using your communicators. You quickly find one of such "safe spots" and enter it. A poorly arranged house holds traces of carnge, there are human corpses scattered around and footprints of some quadrupedal creature that killed them. The bodies are in advanced state of decay, but you still can see gruesome wounds that this thing dealt them. Whatever it is, it's better to avoid this mutant!

[1] You look around from your safe spot, trying to find something interesting. And you do, just in front of your face! The roots of the tree are growing rapidly, blocking the way out!

[3] You look if these husks had anything that might be of use, and you manage to find a gas mask in good condition, though it didn't had additional filters. The rest has nothing useful. Suddenly a truck passes by.

[5] You grab your sister's hand, and since you have a map and are better in navigating around using it, you slowly go towards Belarussian border, avoiding radioactive lake and anomaly fields!

[3] You sprint away, just like any ordinary tourist would do. You don't run too far away, so you can still hear the battle going on.

[Soldiers vs radiated boar: 3 x 2]

The soldiers are at an advantage possessing firearms. They start shooting at the mutant and it gets hurt. The wounds aren't too heavy, but they are slowing it down considerably.

With weaponry stolen from the compound, you drive away, deeper into the Zone. Next city on the road was Chernobyl, but since you didn't wanted to drive there you took one of smaller side roads. On the way you pass near a truck that got his by a falling tree. There were a few bodies scattered around, someone was still alive, looting the corpses.

Fuel left: 40%

- You had a lot of luck my friend, if not for that anomaly, he would launch a psionic attack and scorch your brain to a small lump of coal! They can get into your mind and read out your thoughts and intentions. If they'll detect that you mean harm, they will attack. If you'd foolishly want to befriend them, they will try to kill you too. I'm not sure why, but they are avoiding my little hut. As for combat tips, if you'd want to kill a controller, head is an obvious target. Never get into close quarter with them - they will crush your skull with their powerful hands!

A sudden thought strikes up your mind, you recall a memory of a knifer you spotted in one of towns. Then you look around and carefully head to an upward staircase. You hear some murmurs coming from upper floor. You take a step and someone screams. Some people might be still alive up there.

[6] You open the door and enter a room with furniture broken into pieces and few bloody pulps of people that were living there. An old woman runs out of another room, something chasing her. You watch as a strange, bear-like creature with bat wings catches her and rips guts out of her stomach. The mutant turns to you - it has big eyes similar to those of an owl, a maw full of razor-sharp teeth and paws with long claws. It roars menacingly and continues to finish it's meal.
