- It should be safe now, the anomaly must've disappeared. Lead the way!

[5] This couldn't ended worse. You wanted to make them lead you out of danger, not end up as a grilled stalker. Again you try to listen to your intuition, observing surroundings of anomaly and intuitively going out of anomaly field!

[2] You decide to go around the anomaly. You manage to run a bit forward, but you've come upon another charged field!

[4] On your eyes the anomaly shifts and moves, unleashing it's deadly charge and disappearing. There's only charred grass and a crystal clear ball with energy arcs flying inside it.

[6] You wait as the truck drives forward, watching the changing scenery. From everpresent forest, to fields, then to small hills and forest again. The travel seems to be really boring... suddenly you hear a loud crack and something falls on the truck!

[1] You are thrown all over the cargo as the truck falls. One of the husks that was accompanying you falls on you and hits you in the head, rendering you unconscious!

[5] You quickly stand up and leave the building using the same way as you've got inside. Luckily you haven't met any more experiments. Going to the roof, you saw that guards tower was still empty, what's more, there's a truck on the road. The alarm must've lured all soldiers inside the building. If you'd be quick enough, you'd be able to steal it and drive away!

[4] You take the advice of an unknown man and follow the stream. Your Geiger counter shows that he was right, and there really is a small path without radiation. Keeping an eye on anomalies, you reach the hut in a short while. There, you meet a man in an old and slightly worn out protective suit. He has a GP-5 gas mask on his face, which he takes off, revealing a face of an old man.

- Greetings young man! You're the first visitor I've got since a few years... or was it months? I'm Grigorij. What's your name?

You wonder how he could survive in Zone for so long.

You finish your sentence just as the truck stops and you reach Chernobyl city. You leave the truck and look in awe at old, ruined buildings completely overgrown with trees and other vegetation. There are many animals roaming calmly around, and falling into deadly anomalies from time to time. The colonel walks out to the group and says:

- Alright stalkers, let's begin the first phase of operation. Despite radiation, mutants and anomalies some people still live in the area. Our goal is to find and eliminate them as potential leaks of information. Agency didn't cared before the media leak, but now it's different matter. You'll find their houses marked with radiation pictogramme. When your job is done, we'll meet here and begin another phase. Ready? Move it!
