My 'buds are broken and my left ear is slightly deaf.

They *work*, but only the left speaker does. The right one usually never makes a sound, hence my left ear going deaf. I'm thinking loose connection, and I tried jiggling the connections and messing with the joints but I'm too lazy to do anything serious with them.

I'll just go to walmart or something if nothing works; I'm willing to waste some but not much of my time twiddling around with my earbuds.

Save my left ear, before Walmart does.

I ordered a pair of headphones.

While I waited for it to arrive, I thought I'd perform an autopsy on my right earbud. Turns out there was a thin plastic sheath around a volume control that had a small PCB inside. The PCB seems to have split in half inside the sheath, probably from being dropped on the floor and stepped on.

Oh well. At least the left one still works, post-autopsy.
