You watch as she gracefully steps closer to you. Each step feels like it sends a shockwave that reverberates throughout your thin body. When she's close to you, you feel oddly warm, as if her grace emanates through her person. "So, will you do it?"

"Then it is settled. Bring your things to this room tomorrow, and my cohort will get you settled. Worry not about anything other than your comfort for the move. This room here is temporary. You'll be properly moved into the Royal House in short order."

With that, you bow, still staring at the Queen as if she's playing an elaborate practical joke on you and making your exit at the same time.

You wake up. Do morningy stuff.

Perform morning ablutions, eat breakfast.  Most important meal of the day.  Etc.  Idly theorize on how to improve your work.

While Consuming our Food, we use the time to ponder the Technologies and effort it takes to obtain nutrients for the Colony.

You conduct morning hygiene rituals, consume some sustenance and leave your humble living space to head for the Queen's chamber. You have naught but a small sack of your most important things. While you traverse the innards of the colony, you wonder how the technology the Colony has sustains itself, and how much work is required to keep every ant fed. Then you break into thoughts about how to improve your own efforts. For some reason, you feel drawn to the concept of self improvement. As if you were created by someone who feels the same way about themselves. You shake your head and try to break that thought. Where on Earth did that come from?

You're in the tunnel that connects to the Royal Chamber when you notice a Guard Role mugging you. It's clear he has a problem, or wants one. You avert your eyes and keep walking straight.

"Where do you think you're going? Audience with the Queen?" His tone and facial expression are hostile. Oddly so. What could be his problem? You've done nothing wrong, and surely he was made aware of the developing arrangement between you and the Queen.

"Well? I'm asking you a question, am I not?"

"You see where the problem lies then."

"Beg pardon? I was unaware I-"

The Guard Role shoves you against the wall. Only one arm is needed to restrain you in totality. "Don't play coy with me, Science Role. The problem is, the Queen has chosen you, and not me. One who has fought her wars! I see no warrior's fire in you. I doubt you can even wield a spear!"

"I designed it", you hiss through gritted teeth. "That spear you pontificate about wielding, was wielded by me first."

Should you back down? Stop talking? Let this Guard Role have at you until he is satisfied? No. Remember the Queen's words . . .

"You answer to no one but me. Your Queen."

You're still pinned by the Guard Role when he chooses to reply to your rather-smug comment. "Is that so? Then how ironic will be it when I run you through with your own spear?"

Then get out of there ASAP.  But not before pheromones-ing him.

What-ing him? He's wearing ceremonial/cultural semi-armour. Mainly meant to signify Guard rather than Soldier. Think of it as the Household Guard of British monarchy. While they are Royal Marines, they wear the red coats and funny hats they're known for, which aren't really meant to stop bullets, but let people know that "a monarch lives here".

TL; DR: Kicking him in the groin will work.
