"I thought I had made our position clear, did I not pagan?" He states, waving around the scripture. "His Grace the Emperor himself declared that any and all who interfere with this mission are to be cut down. With your countries military invading the targeted lands, your entire nation has been deemed as 'interfering'! We just received an edict to invade you, pagan. I am here to declare war on behalf of my nation, My Emperor, and My Gods. But I take pity on your country, I am quite fond of it, and it has always treated those of the True Faith well. If you surrender immediately, it may be possible to survive as a vassal state, rather than being completely conquered. The Twins are forgiving of transgressions to the repentant."

Lansee DECLARES WAR on Ianden!

A Harbor is constructed in The Capital, allowing for the His Grace's military to deploy to far-away lands.
A University is constructed in 17, upon request from a Bishop in need of more scholars to copy scriptures.

The Archmages of the tower federation carefully examine the piece of paper that was sent to them. Going over every word and symbol, every nuance and fold. The paper is copied thousands of times over and sent across the land to various universities and towers to be studied. After a long discussion they come to the conclusion that an alliance is meaningless, but likely to result in more gifts of fine sheets of paper. And thus they accept!

Given the recent plague, Grimazul Kazad rejects the alliance proposal by Heavenly Heart

However, the Actions of the 'Holy' empire are utterly condemned. Unless the empire returns Ianden's territory to it, the Empire can consider itself at war with the Republic of the Steel Fortress, an action which will condemn the empire to it's utter annihilation.

Grimazul Kazad Declares war on the Holy Lansee Empire, with a conditional peace treaty in effect if #23 is retaken by the Ianden republic within three turns.

"You ask too much for too little. You have already proven your willingness to attempt to subvert the will of His Grace, we have no reason to allow you to exist on your own on our boarders. If your decadent Republic can not even control its own military, perhaps it would be better off under Lansee control. At the very least, a military that does as it pleases is a threat to our nation's safety, it would be foolhardy to ignore something like this for a small amount materiel. Any deal must insure the safety of our Empire in the long run, including the targeted states we have yet to conquer."

Alessa was having a good day as a Republic Guard. Steeped in the finest forms of martial training, she was content with her life. Today, her job was to catch tiny pieces of paper being thrown about in the form of crumpled balls.

Alessa main profession was ensuring that Avery did not hurt herself, rather than preventing anyone else from hurting her. Today, Avery was busy ranting: "He even misspelled borders! It's like we're...a vassal-to-be to the Empire! Gnnhhhh those demands are atrocious! Just because they're safe in their religion doesn't mean that our technologies are to be given freely by might of 'The Gods' (which is more zeal in their people flinging themselves at our fortifications than anything) an-and-"

Alessa cut her short by proximity. Her presence being so close to Avery made her aware that she was in the company of others. "In short, it's our fault we chose to defend the Throsian Kingdom, and we should have sent diplomats instead."

Calmed down by being understood, concisely and pointedly, Avery had to resign her temper. "Quite.

"We need to call on the people. Please make another draft of that paper--we are to continue being at war. The bishop has transferred responsibility of our actions, that we are culpable as reason for them to attack us. Send a message to the militia commanders in private--their suspicions were correct all along. I will...require privacy for thought."

The master of the tower of shadows sat, brooding in his dark room as he read the latest reports on the insulting proclamations coming from the other countries. He shook his head sadly, with the other nations rising their hackles so threateningly the Federation would need to consider their future very carefully. They had already wasted so much time fiddling about, "steel" what a ridiculous concept. The master of Shadows knew in his heart that these promises of better weapons were only propaganda to secure more funding for those metal lovers, he knew their secret agenda was only to make more reinforced spoons that would not bend when scooping overly frozen icecream! Ridiculous!

The master of shadows took out his ink and quill as he prepared to write a masterfully crafted missive to the other tower masters, one that would certainly turn their nation off a terrible path of steelworking to a more reasonable future. He hesitated for just a moment, thinking of what he could suggest to replace it. At just that moment his cleaning lady walked into the room, and with a swift motion flung open the heavy drapes on the window, nattering on about something to do with being cooped away in the dark being bad for the eyes! The master of shadows hissed and crawled under his desk to avoid the hated rays of light that now flowed into his room as the cleaner started to dust away his priceless collections of dust. He moan in despair, if only there was a system to pump out servants who truly knew their masters needs! If only there was a way to teach young people his habits so that they would serve him better! Alas! That's when it struck him, an idea for what could replace the silly research on steelworking.

Swap steelworking for Guilds.

Alessa was having a good day as a Republic Guard. Steeped in the finest forms of martial training, she was content with her life. Today, her job was to catch tiny pieces of paper being thrown about in the form of crumpled balls.

Alessa main profession was ensuring that Avery did not hurt herself, rather than preventing anyone else from hurting her. Today, Avery was busy ranting: "He even misspelled borders! It's like we're...a vassal-to-be to the Empire! Gnnhhhh those demands are atrocious! Just because they're safe in their religion doesn't mean that our technologies are to be given freely by might of 'The Gods' (which is more zeal in their people flinging themselves at our fortifications than anything) an-and-"

Alessa cut her short by proximity. Her presence being so close to Avery made her aware that she was in the company of others. "In short, it's our fault we chose to defend the Throsian Kingdom, and we should have sent diplomats instead."

Calmed down by being understood, concisely and pointedly, Avery had to resign her temper. "Quite.

"We need to call on the people. Please make another draft of that paper--we are to continue being at war. The bishop has transferred responsibility of our actions, that we are culpable as reason for them to attack us. Send a message to the militia commanders in private--their suspicions were correct all along. I will...require privacy for thought."
