Please keep all out-of-character discussion, critique, error-reporting and such to OOC Thread!

With the coming of the end of the winter of the year 999, many powers are preparing themselves to begin the race for dominance and powers.

For example, diplomatic pacts and treaties should be reviewed and formed, not to mention that forces should be deployed in strategic positions just in case.

Deep in the heavenly hearts capital known as Worldsoul the true origin of the world as they say the Queen looks at her people frolicking elves playing with the sparse heumans and dwarfs...so adorable children really those humans and dwarfs which is why they need us their too young they can't live happy lives governing themselves at least not without our help...I will welcome them all into my lovely embrace one way or the other.

((Odd placement on our boarder, ATH, considering 27 can attack the capital directly, 26 and 28 are comparatively less powerful both as an attack and defense point, I would expect you to consolidate forces there.))

Also, in case it wasn't clear, Lansee declares war on the independent nations mentioned before

The Magocracies were a reminder of the natural factors still left unstudied and put into a concrete science. Avery re-checked several other foreign documents and it appears that theirs had arrived before she could send her greetings. With a smile, she accepted as soon as she could attain the foreign forms.

Knowing either Merchant guilds or Scholar factions would benefit from a further extension of foreign trade and culture, Avery studied the last two remaining major factions. The Holy Lansee Empire had...a reputation of claiming historical anecdotes as a reason for moving their armies; while they initially had merit and credibility, the many voices over the waves reputably said otherwise.

The Heavenly Heart of the World was another concern. They were nominally seen as more open than the prior faction, yet may have held grudges over maritime tariffs and embargoes in the centuries past given the Republic's position in governing southern trade. Needless to say, this provided an opportunity for both states as it were.


The Iänden Republic offers a Research Treaty to either the Holy Lansee Empire, or the Heavenly Heart of the World, whichever accepts.

The Iänden Republic warns of the use of conquering to gain holy relics--and notes that the independent states governing the area are deeply concerned of Imperial forces traversing into their lands in search of bones of Holy Saints. They issue a counter-notice, of moving their own armies into those lands in order to return those bones, in order to avoid and misunderstanding between the local parties.

Though the Queen whenever you may have met her in person seemed bitter and angry over the tariffs she has shown to be calm and rational and as such you have...the queen casually appearing.
Accepts research treaty and offers alliance and trade treaty's to the landeen republic.
a mutually beneficial relationship to coexist between our nation's would be great..While the tariffs were a slight my people would not be able to live if we held onto our grudges forever so goodbye.
The Queen rapidly leaves.

Despite the numerous harbors and otherwise, the Republic is sad to mention that they lack valued spots for accepting more foreign trade routes! They lack guards to secure the trade caravans that way and offer their sincerest apologies (and suggest sending those trade treaties to other fine folk here).

The local Bishop, an aging man in scarlet robes with a lengthy white beard and a silver circlet adorned with a large pearl, responds to Iänden Republic's request in person.

"You misunderstand our religion, pagan. We do not collect the bones of our Saints as the others do. Our sacred practice is burial at sea, sending our dearly departed directly into the waiting bosom of the Holy Twins. Saints are no different in this regard, if we where to recover the bones they would be simply cast once again into the sea. Rather, this is a message directly from Our Beloved Gods, who has placed the corpses of the Fallen Holy Ones on heathen shores. His Grace the Emperor himself interprets this sacred message as the Twins urging us to invade, bringing the Light of the Twins to the nations shrouded in Darkness. Doubting our intentions is....well, equivalent to doubting His Grace himself. Doubting His Grace is equivalent to insulting him. Insulting His Grace is the equivalent to insulting the Twins. Insulting the Twins is blasphemy. We do not take to blasphemy well in our religion, pagan. If your republic truly dislikes War, it would do well to stay out of the way of our Holy Mission, hold their tongue, and realize who is the most powerful force of this world."

Avery took it upon herself to respond to the local Imperial Bishop (who she personally despised but also respected in his oratory ways and etiquette).

"Power is in the people, not in military might--over the years, even short-termed wins will wane before the power of the culture of generations to come. Our sailors have noticed the tides and we have information regarding the oceanic currents: The waters abreast of your coasts move towards the neighboring lands instead of into the deeper waters in these seasons. I do not implore blasphemy, I implore understanding. The people of those isles fear the soldiers of the Empire rightly, and our soldiers would act as mediators instead.
