Not able to get the white walkers to work properly.  Might have something to do with being in a mild winter or something, but I am unsure of what would be needed.  Personally, I'm thinking of doing a reset, to add a measure of difficulty and, in the case of some, strangeness.  Three options are available:

1) Starting before Aegon's Conquest.  Dark Den is far weaker at that point in time (it has the same 1k as every other island before 'the crowned stag'.  After that, it has the 3k and the vassal.)
2) Start using someone during the War of the Five Kings, which has Winter show up as a guarantee. (alt. Feast for Crows, which has Winter already spawned)
3) Utilize this mod that has the island of Dragonstone placed in the Atlantic for the Targaryens to conquer Europe.
4) Utilize an earlier version of the Game of Thrones mod that placed Westeros next to Europe for an April Fool's joke. (Really early version of crusader kings.)

Which of the above would you like to see the most?

Should I repeat the start from Dark Den, or go with a different nation?  If the latter, do you have one in mind, or should I hit the random selection and then go to the liege of that nation?

Edit: Or do either of the above and use the mod that destroys all empire/kingdom/dutchy level titles and above?

Decided to hit the 'random' option and wound up in control of the Thenn upon my test search.  With the odds of that happening being so low, I'm going to stick with it for the game.  Will need to move the capital fairly quickly to avoid white walkers spawning right on top of it.

Here's a list of the mods I'm going to attempt to drop in on this playthrough:
Petty Kings (Cuts up Westeros to a high degree, and is compatible with 1.1.2 (Free Realms, the original one I was to use, has issues.))
Rainbow Weddings (Enables Wedding Assassinations, ala the Red Wedding)
Challenge to Duel (So I can attempt to murder Aegeon if he comes in my direction.)
More Decisions (Even more stuff to do!)
Dragon Tamer & Dragon Theft (In case I actually do get a dragon)
Genocide (Morbid curiosity as to whether the AI wants to use it.)
Being Blood Feuds (For later fun)
Godswoods (Seems to fit)
Join all the Wars (Why not?)
Bloodlines (Might as well see lineage.)
The Seed is Strong (Going to remove the trait.  Only want there to be different portraits)
Duel Recorder (So I can see the body count)
New Ways Drowned Gods (Another 'See what the AI does' addition.)
Grey King's Hall (See Above)
Castle Black Shieldhall (For something to look when its conquered.)
Dynastic Stability (So Dead Dynasties could come back from time to time.)

Was 'of Thenn' when I had been playing through that.  However, after picking up the Ruler Designer DLC, I came up with something a bit more interesting in my opinion (link goes to new thread.  Decided on using a new thread to make the progression more clear).
