Spreads sheets on the table to tell the operation objectives while his companions That noone knows of are planning with him.
Alright. We're talking strategy here. I'm needing to find goblin soldiers and really those that hold the goblin civ up. And then Ill kill them. However. I want to travel through the area between my target and me but... My companion meatbag/meat shield is a major twatt, and I fear he might run his mouth off and say the deeds I'd done. So. Cut off his tongue and hinder his ability to talk? Will this work? I'm essentially trying to cripple the goblins severely and allowing the elves. Dwarves and humans to kill them. Essentially doing all the dirty work for me with me just having to slash and cleave off a few heads in a flash. The rhymes in this... Are horrible. 8)
Operation Gobbler is in motion.

Are you asking a question here?
If you are, there's not really many goblins that are more important than others. Sure you can kill the lord of a dark pits, or even kill the demon law-giver of the whole civilization, but nothing much happens as a result. I suppose the demon leaders are often the strongest soldiers the goblins have, in some cases taking out massive armies entirely on their own, but not always. Plenty of times they just do nothing. Could be worth it though, it'd still seem cool enough, you can pretend it helped even if you don't know whether or not it did.
Assuming you manage that, there's nothing guaranteeing that goblins will be going to war with anybody. I think the only thing you can do in that respect is to try and start a fortress for a nearby dwarf civilization, right near some goblin pits, and hope they attack you. I believe that can trigger a war that might allow the world generation dwarves to take advantage of their slightly weakened state.
As for your companion... uh. No, none of that is necessary. You don't need to do anything. Even assuming full roleplay mode that every action has full consequences, who does the companion tell? What is the downside of some people thinking it was you that killed a demon lord? Without full roleplay mode, I guess they might spread knowledge around of you killing the demon, but that won't be stopped by removing the tongue. You'd have to kill them or abandon them somewhere they won't have anybody to tell.

Its a feature. Impregnating booze is a planned tech tree for dwarves and this is a sneak peek at it.
Unless you're past reproductive age. Then you're pretty much an extension of your kids' genitalia

Actually yes, that would work, but when you attack companions they stop following you.

Removing toungs works, actually.

They are usually  at war, so if they were, that would help whoever is at war with them at the moment, also killing the goblin occupiers at sites also helps In fact, since world gen essentially continues at this point you would have an impact even if it was small. And goblins without demons are much weaker opponents.

Killing ANY hist fig goblin helps in fact.

Yes killing goblins, (do goblins have generals, that would aid the dwarves) would help your civ, and all civs expand in play now and attack and conquer, so it would help
http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:World_activities

They would also be less able to defend themselves, if you kill the tough ones, including the demon. SO yes, it would help there too. They would have a less capable general, and therefore have a harder time expanding. And defending (since it is no longer an immediate win, like it was for awhile (in a few of the 40.xx releases)) unless i'm mistaken and they are still all successful without player intervention, but I am very sure that is fixed and it is actually with skill rolls now.

edit:
I checked, it was fixed in 40.16, so yes, killing the demon/other important/tough hist fig goblins WOULD help)

Actually my character is persuasive enough to make them follow me. I tried cutting their tongue off so... Yeah. The guy kept spitting at me cause I killed his lady. Along with another valuable guy. They were my two informants so you can tell.
I went into a hillock and murdered everyone there. Apparently the lady was there too. I left them outside. Two of them just stood there loyal to me. I can just imagine them outside xD
Am- Hey how's your wife MULE?
MULE-shes fine. Yours?
*screaming as everyone gets decapitated inside*
*three dots appear on top of their heads.*
Am- I wonder how my cousin. Who's also my wife. Is doing...
*I emmerge with bags full of clothes and one has oddly spheres inside it and is soaked with blood.*
MULE- Hello miss. May we embark to our camp?
Me/Hentai WitchBlaze the Cunning Armored Arch -Angel of Lust- Yes.
Also thanks for your addition to this untrust
Now its only a matter of finding them...
