Turin can you accept the research treaty?
I did that :P When people send treaties to others, it fills a MUTUAL slot. So when I sent you my 'research treaty', and you accepted it, that means we both have a treaty slot filled. For you, you've got...like, 1 over 4, if that's your first. While I have my 5/5 quota due to being Mercantile ^ ^

Also I really want to test out the researches but I ALSO want to test out the combat mechanics :3
* Tiruin winks at Stirk in a way that tells you that she has 0 experience in winking.
That said...I still feel that Naval research should be gained by Ports (1 point per Port owned) because of it being wholly situational and useless on land battles--unable to even affect land tiles other than transport troops (unlike some navies which did attack coastal cities and stuff). ._.

Its fine, I was planning on invading after you gave me an excuse anyway :P. I wanted to get a training ground up, with the excuse that it is for the other islands first, just so I have a good jump point...

Not when you have to concentrate research on one field in particular :P The navy is only a boon in this current context to LARGE nations because navies also cost 1 army slot. :P So I'm questioning in favor of balance in small games, because I really doubt that there's going to be extensive naval tactics and research used here, especially since naval research in this game context is mostly naval-focused instead of helping/supporting/attacking land units and stuff.

I suppose this is why we test game. To be honest, I feel somewhat the same way about magic, especially as it pertains to research treaties. The fact that you can only have one thing at a time certainly does feel limiting. Although I imagine it's even more so with Navy.

I suppose this is why we test game. To be honest, I feel somewhat the same way about magic, especially as it pertains to research treaties. The fact that you can only have one thing at a time certainly does feel limiting. Although I imagine it's even more so with Navy.

Lansee sees Religion, not race. Cross species marriage, love, etc is seen as perfectly acceptable to the Empire. Claiming they own the soul of the world is Heresy and grounds for immediate execution with everyone who spreads the lie being drowned at the stake  >:(. Or maybe a lesser punishment, like a stern warning and an invasion.

Well, the goal of the game is to grab as much land as you can, if you don't have a large nation at some point you already lost :p.
