Kate grinned. "Excellent. We should probably do so outdoors, though." She headed outside, making a detour to the barn to grab a pair of sturdy branches she'd whittled the bark off of in her spare time. Not proper practice weapons by any means, but they were about the length of the weapon she was accustomed to using, and that's all the magical girl really cared about.

Charlotte took one of the branches, weighing it in her hand before holding it up. A smile crept across her face as she gave it a practice swing.
"Ready?"

Kate nods silently, falling into a practiced guard, though an expert could tell that the style seems somewhat archaic. She waits for Charlotte to strike the first blow.

Following Nancy's explanation Kyle had been working out. He paused his routine to watch the two girls.

Charlotte took an amateur stance, it was pretty obvious to anyone that was trained that she didn't know what she was doing. She swung clumsily towards her opponent.

"Oh, dem kids and their combat games again. Can't you play some dominoes?"

Tori glances at them. Do they seem to be going to the Farm?

Kate parried the strike with ease, redirecting the strike and aiming a quick, light blow toward the opposite side of Charlotte's body before returning to her stance. "I assume you haven't fought often," she commented simply, without venom.

[Akroma]

They might be, but this road also leads to basicaly anything else outside of new orleans.

[Twinwolf]

In that case, onwards.

Charlotte moved her own stick, it was close but she just managed to parry the blow
"I haven't really."

Ether and Freyjda are watching the mock combat. "Sometimes we fight here. For the sake of practice and skill refinement, of course."

[Chevaleresse]

Kate aims a few more hits in quick succession at Charlotte, then retreats slightly. "It is not shocking. I would offer to teach you but I am not very good at such."

Charlotte desperately tried to parry the blows, she couldn't manage them all though and a pained expression came onto her face as she was hit.
"I prefer guns really" she stuck back at her opponent, trying to get through her defences.

[Chevaleresse]

Kate stepped backward and parried high in one smooth, sweeping motion, leaving her with her "sword" raised above her head. "I have never liked guns, myself. HAH!" With a shout, she swung, aiming to crush Charlotte's guard.
