Do you really think a dead/dying civilization can sustain a Battlefailed fortress? Horrorfailed had a body count in the thousands, we're going to need all the dorfs we can get.
Ditto. Also, gimme a turn when we get the fort going.

What's this "Murderfailed" you speak of?

What the heck sign me up.
  • DO NOT try to purposely screw over the fort
Blasphemy. Devoting all of one's resources to screwing over the next player in line is a proud Battlefailed tradition, and should be encouraged. Calling this "Battlefailed 5" is a bit like trying to reform a band without any of the original musicians, but we'll see how this goes.

Oops, for some reason my phone auto corrected it to failed not machine... So my phone thinks murderfailed is a word... Huh

And all of you r in

All right. Images sorted, now there is one problem...
All in favour of me retriring the fort temporarily and reviving as much of the civ as i can raise your hands!
We're still the last stand, because the others might not last long.
But with this we will have migrants.
Anyone in favour?

We should make a new thread, and come up with a plot.
I have ideas for one, though...

You guys rushed into this a bit quickly, we don't even have a starting 7 at this point! A Battlefailed fortress needs a suitably fucked-up world with a fucked-up backstory to go with it's fucked-up embark, modded if needs be. Horrorfailed had all sorts of little homages to the Battlefailed saga. Heck, we could take advantage of the new retirement/migrant features and adventurers to make things more interesting.

Honestly, I'd try to get more of the experienced players in on it before we start a fortress. Eric Blank, Deathsword, and Gizogin are still around on the forums at least, and Andreus posted this a while back.

Let the searching begin.
Ryukan! You can do the work. I'm being dropped in a wood tommorrow with some friends and supplies. I... Can't do it. Yeah.

I'd like to join in if that's alright. I never really had an opportunity to get into one of the early turns of a battlefailed fortress, but I'd love the opportunity. Fair warning, I haven't played at all in the newest version, and since we're apparently going to be working with a dead civ, that's probably not good.

Also, I'd strongly advise against trying to do something with retire/unretire, since last I heard it's still pretty buggy even after all this time. On the plus side, if we're going in as a dead civ, we can potentially recoup lost manpower through visitors. Incidentally, if you can find an elf who doesn't give a shit about nature, I'd be happy to have my name attached to him/her in honor of 0.42 finally making oddities like Cacame work properly when they show up in game.

I want to tell you they were bad men, cephalo.  I want to tell you that with a better overseer the Fortress never would've gotten so bad someone would get offed in a pointless fisticuffs.
But the sad truth charlie?
It was inevitable.
