A cuestion about Danger Rooms
« on: April 05, 2016, 01:10:12 pm »

Well. Before explaining my issue/unknown feature, I'll say that English isn't my first language so sorry if I make any mistake  :)

As you see in the photo, I have a quite fortress(around 150 dwarves and I've dealt with a Dragon) and I've been playing for 1 or 2 months to this awesome game(that's why it might be a problem of unknownlegde). On the middle of the screen, on the danger room, there is an stucked dwarf and I'm pretty sure that he(or she im not sure :) ) weren't there. I would like to know why is this happening(i've lost 2 or 3 dwarfs/humans right there) to solve it.

Finally, in the bottom danger room i hadn't any problem

Image(It's big so I've used an spoiler)

A guess is that a dorf has dodged and gotten stuck. Dodging can cause dorfs to tunnel through walls and fall to their deaths if there's no floor on the outside, and stuff can get stuck in workshops (I haven't seen living things stuck in workshops, but I've seen kea corpses fallen from above, as well as skin parts resulting from killing reanimated skin in evil biomes).

The Spanish is rather hard to follow for non speakers, so I appreciate you sticking to English. As help to improve that English, I can point out it's actually "stuck" rather than "stucked" for future use (although the meaning gets through anyway).

If you mean the purple dwarf who is in between two fortifications, most likely it was a "dodged through fortifications" bug, as Patrik suggests.  Get him out by removing one of the fortifications, if it was constructed, or by digging a tunnel (either through the fortification, if it's carved from natural stone, or from the north or south), or by digging stairs up through the floor beneath and then constructing a down-staircase where the dwarf is.  At least, I think that last option is possible without moving the purple dwarf out of the way first....

Wait... are those fortifications, or smoothed walls?  Um....

Dodge bug can go through fortification or walls.  Best solution is to designate barracks 1 tile away from walls.

Thx for the correction :)

I'll try that. Until then, I'll put my dwarfs to train in the other Danger Room

PD: They were walls not fortifications
