What if the character wasn't raised by foster parents persay, but in an orphanage?

I'm making a girl at the orphanage literally from Mali :V
I've got backstory and everything. She'll be an illusionist, maybe with some Sufism stuff in the way she does it.

My character is going to be Nigerian and her abilities will also be based from her religion. I didn't expect there to be multiple African characters, but that's pretty damn neat considering how rarely they're in roleplays that aren't centered in the African continent.

Name: Elise Emilia Leblanc / Rosa, Lady of the Flowers

Description: Emilia may not have a lot in height, but she makes that up in loudness. She seems always full of energy and hamminess and belief in JUSTICE™. She also looks the part, not being an inch over five foot, but having long blonde hair and quite vibrant, modern clothing to match her idealistic, hammy nature.

Magical Girl Form: See image, only with a white helmet with a visor, obscuring her eyes and face, marked with a stylized rose. Her long blonde hair is down in this form, kept clean and straight due to Magic™.

Backstory: A girl who grew up with her loving (albeit always travelling) father, Emilia nonetheless was always happy no matter what, and always believed that things were going to turn out okay. As she aged and her father travelled more, she went with him, going to school wherever he went and staying wherever they could. As a result, she generally has a freer reign than many, although her father simply asks that she calls in every so often to make sure that she's okay.

Now, how does a seemingly average girl like her end up as a magical girl? Emilia was always a great believer in JUSTICE™, to the extent that she tries to do the right thing no matter what. This paid off when, chasing off a bunch of muggers from a seemingly old hag, Emilia was cornered by the muggers and subsequently saved by the hag, who turned out to be the previous scion of the Flower Goddess Uthenna. Upon discovering the bravery of such a young girl, she bestowed upon her the Favour of the Lady in the form of an ever-blooming white rose, and so Emilia became the Scion of Flowers, Magical Glitter Rose Emilia-Chan!

Okay, her actual name while transformed is Rosa.

Lady of the Flowers: The goddess Uthenna is an obscure goddess who counted flowers and the protection of the weak under her domain. In the latter day, she has become unknown and forgotten even by her most dedicated worshippers, but she still maintains a presence in order to protect her flock. Part of this presence manifests in a chosen avatar, the Scion of Uthenna, a protectress of mankind who uses the Lady's power to bring justice to evildoers and protection to the weak. The mantle of the Scion has been passed down constantly since its advent, and it seems that Emilia has gained the mantle, donning the dress of the Lady of the Flowers.

Ability: Scion of Flowers: Emilia is the scion of the goddess Uthenna, goddess of flowers and patron of the weak. As such, her abilities are generally protective in nature, with heals and buffs being her main skill, allowing her to heal her allies and boost their attributes. She has access to small energy blasts for self defense, as well as a powerful burst of light, the Ruinous Aurora, if absolutely necessary to destroy an opponent, at the cost of Emilia's magical form for several hours.

Perks: -Protective Bloom: Emilia regenerates from injury, albeit at a slow rate and is resistant to being affected by status effects herself due to the Favour of Uthenna. She also possesses the ability to make plants grow faster.
-Beauty of the Rose: Heals provided by Emilia are more effective and buffs given by Emilia last longer.
-Full Bloom: Emilia can temporarily attain greater power via channeling more of the Light of Uthenna, allowing her to provide stronger heals and buffs, as well as not suffering from as much recoil while using the Ruinous Aurora. However, when Emilia's Bloom ends, she is incredibly weakened.

Inventory:
-Euanthe: Her staff, only while in Rosa form, used to cast her magic. The staff is long and slender, with a red rose on the tip and golden ribbons wrapped around several inches from the bottom of the rose to somewhere along the staff.
-The Lady's Favour: A small white rose eternally in bloom, used by Emilia to transform into Rosa form. She can transform without it, but it takes more effort.

Name: Ryuuji Takasu Kamen Rider Kuuga Raleigh Leblanc, formerly Winston / Masked Knight Kuwagata

Gender: Male
Race: Human

Description: Raleigh is quite tall, even for his age, standing barely under 6'4''. Dwarfing his adopted sister Emilia by almost two feet, he also tends to be the sane man to her hammy, idealistic behaviour, wearing quite normal clothes and always reining her in when necessary. He also acts as her guardian, both in battle and in civilian life, watching out for her when her father cannot be there.

Magical Boy Form: Raleigh's magical form, or the Masked Knight Kuwaga, resembles a warrior protected by an insectoid carapace, coloured vivid red, with two golden horns on his helmet resembling those of a stag beetle's. He also carries a longsword with a grip and guard resembling that of the two horns of a stag beetle, with ancient characters running down the length of the blade, and a shield resembling a stag beetle which acts as the sword's scabbard.

Backstory: Raleigh doesn't remember much of his childhood. His first memory was living on the Farm with the other kids; he got along with them rather swimmingly. Two years passed, and he ended up being adopted by the man later known to him as Rene Leblanc, and introduced to his biological daughter Emilia, to whom he'd become a big brother. The two became as thick as thieves, watching each other's backs- Raleigh watching Emilia's back more often than not- throughout their travels. When Emilia gained magical powers, he found out very quickly after following her to a battle one night.

That same battle was when Raleigh gained his powers as the Masked Knight. The monster Emilia was trying to protect people from was a rather ancient beast, who had been resurrected after a thousand-year rest, having been sealed away by a group of Masked Knights. Sensing one of its ancient opponents nearby, it attacked Raleigh, pouncing past Emilia to attack him. However, at the last second, a belt appeared on his waist, forming a suit of armour around Raleigh's body and granting him a sword to slay the beast in one strike. After a short discussion, Emilia and Raleigh agreed to act as a team, as a lady and her knight, as the Lady of Roses and the Masked Knight Kuwagata.

Masked Knight: A warrior from a group of knights with the powers of various insects, sworn to protect mankind. The known knight mantles include the mantles of Kabuto, Kuwagata, Batta, Kamakiri, Tonba, Hachi, Kumo and Sasori, which are passed down every time a Knight dies to a random wielder. Sometimes, the Knights unite, and sometimes they remain independent. This generation of knights, it seems, remain independent. Raleigh has inherited the mantle of Kuwagata, the Stag Beetle.

Ability: Masked Knight Kuwagata (Stag Beetle): Raleigh can transform into the Masked Knight Kuwagata, with the powers and strength of the beetle it represents. He acts as a protector, using his sword and shield to protect his sister while she uses her magic to defeat opponents for GREAT JUSTICE. Chief among their skills are increased durability, resilience, strength, senses and regeneration. As the mantle of the Stag Beetle is associated with protection, Raleigh's primary ability is to intercept attacks meant for his allies, either absorbing them or using them to boost his increased strength.

Perks: -Insectoid Resilience: Raleigh takes less damage from attacks and resistant to physical status due to the insectoid carapace armour he wears. He also is immune to illusions while in the armour, due to the helmet's enchantments allowing him to see through illusions.
-Masked Knight: Raleigh is a skilled combatant with the sword while in Masked Knight form.
-Cast Off: Raleigh can temporarily attain a stronger form, in which his heavy armour blasting off to reveal a lighter carapace with golden highlights, increasing his durability and physical power. As soon as this power dissipates, his carapace armour returns and turns white, and he is weakened.

Inventory:
-Stag Fang: His sword in Masked Knight form, used in battle. Is nigh-indestructible and incredibly sharp.
-Carapace Shield: A heater shield resembling the head of a stag beetle, with the horns of the beetle being used to lock in the Stag Fang's guard to hold it in while not in use. Used to protect Raleigh and boost his defenses. Is as nigh-indestructible as the Stag Fang, and acts as the scabbard of the sword.
-Knight Belt: The transformation belt common to all Masked Knights. As a part of his body, it can no longer be removed until Raleigh dies. It appears when he requires it to transform.
-Kuwaga Armour: His armour, gained when transforming into Masked Knight. Grants limited flight for a few minutes per jump, which extends to extended flight while he is under the effects of Cast Off.

Name: Haruka Fukami / Yokai Senshi Tora
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Race: Human

Description: Haruka is quite effeminate, to the extent of being almost indistinguishable from a woman, with long, soft red hair in a ponytail. Not helping this is his rather quiet, stoic personality- albeit incredibly caring inside- and his deep yet feminine voice. He is of average height for a man, being about 5'5'', with rather plain clothing as to not stand out amongst the crowd. However, in battle, he can be incredibly brutal to his enemies; justifiably so, for most of them are bloodthirsty demons who have no qualms with killing humans.

Magical Boy Form: Similar to the Masked Knight Kuwagata, the Yokai Senshi Tora's armour, an ornate set of bronze armour, resembles a demonic tiger, with a roaring tiger's head acting as the full-head helmet, clawed gauntlets and greaves tipped with claw-like feet. The armour, while activated, emits an warm, orange glow.

Backstory: For centuries, the Yokai Senshi have waged war against demons who seek to feed upon humanity. Granted magical weapons capable of slaying these demons, the main weapon used by these warriors is the Yokai Armour, special armour that rendered the wearer far stronger than the demons they fought, created from the blood of these demons and mystical ores long since lost, these armours have been passed down with their mantles through long bloodlines of demon-slaying families.

The Fukami family is but one of these bloodlines, the bloodline who possesses the Yokai Armour Tora, the Raging Tiger. Haruka is their latest scion, trained from youth to fight demons who would hurt humanity, and spare those who would help it. When his parents died of cancer, the young boy went wandering through the world through secret paths, carrying on the quest by himself. Once or twice, he stayed with people sympathetic to his cause, with one of them being known later as the Leblanc family, the daughter of which, Emilia, he befriended. However, for the longest time, Haruka went down his quest alone.

Until New Orleans called to him.

Ability: Yokai Senshi: Haruka possesses the mantle of the Demon Warrior of the Raging Tiger. In addition to being a skilled swordfighter, his sword is toxic to demonic presences and his senses, reflexes and constitution are far stronger than a normal human. In addition, he can call the Tora Armour down to himself by drawing a circle in the air with his sword to summon the set. While in the armour, magical damage and effects (including magnetism) are halved against Haruka, and his strength far exceeds even that of oni, or demonic ogres. However, due to the demonic nature of the armour, he can only maintain it for ten minutes after which he must remove it or risk corruption by the demon blood within the armour.

Perks: -Well-Conditioned: He possesses heightened reflexes and senses, in addition to stamina, in comparison to a normal human. He is also capable of acrobatic feats comparable to experts.
- Yokai Slayer: Due to training with older Yokai Senshi and honing his own skills using the Tora Armour, Haruka is a skilled fighter, capable of keeping up on par with world-class duelists.
- Demon Sense: Can sense when demons are in the area, due to the side effects of possessing a Yokai Armour.

Inventory:
- Yokai-slaying Blade: A tachi used by Haruka to fight demons. Transforms into a bronze longsword when he puts on the Tora Armour. Its very touch is toxic to demons.
- Tora Armour: See description. Halves magical damage and effects upon Haruka and amplifies strength while activated, but only lasts for ten minutes.
- Camping gear and other items for wandering.

Eh, I won't involve Sufism in her powers, it doesn't fit the character as planned, and risks involving divine stuff. I'll find another reason for her powers.

Also, heh, that's really interesting. My Malian will speak Fulani (her ethnicity), Bambara (primary language of Mali) and French... and not English.

As for the illusionist stuff, she'll primarily focus on "personal" illusions, illusions focusing on her own combat and form, though she won't be limited to them.
