The latest in Bay 12 community voice chat. Just click the title link to join! Discord is a voice and text chat program with a standalone and web client. Unlike the Teamspeak, this channel is open to all, you don't need any password or IP. Microphone not required. As an anti-spam feature, you do need a verified email account to send messages in the channel.

In here, we organize and play games! Recently we've all been obsessed with Black Desert, but we also regularly play Payday 2 and War Thunder. In the past we've played every game under the sun, including Factorio, Homeworld, Rocket League, Monopoly, Insurgency, Minecraft and even KSP multiplayer. If you want to find a group of people to play games with, or if you want a place to bring other Bay12'ers to play some games together, this is the place! The regulars here are a fun group to chat with, and joining a VOIP group like this is a huge advantage in competitive team games too.

A few other notes:
-You don't need a microphone to join.
-We have a main chat room, and separate rooms for different games. Your own separate room can be made by admins at you request.
-You'll need to download the client to use push-to-talk. If you're in the web client, then it won't work while the browser is out of focus.
-The main room is push-to-talk only. Otherwise, you'd always have to listen to half a dozen people breathing. We have non-PTT rooms though.
-Discord servers are hosted by Discord themselves and communication is peer-to-peer, so the channel won't even go down if Ruskin spills Taco Bell salsa into his computer.
-Oh yeah, Ruskin is the chief admin.
-You can bring non-B12'ers, as long as they're cool.

What do you play? We play a lot of different stuff, and you might convince us to try whatever it is, or find that someone's playing it. I listed Black Desert, Payday 2, and War Thunder as games that are in vogue on the channel right now but we play everything, that's why it's in the title.

...not much, to be honest. I'm not currently playing any MMOs and I didn't enjoy Payday enough to get the sequel. Most of my stuff is either single-player or has previously been played exclusively in single-player.

While i dont play Black Desert, can confirm that a bunch of people on the discord have been playing various games for a long time together(with new people joining up on occasion).
Also, most are cool/laidback people.

Discord's cache is broken i think; I have the downloaded part, but it isn't logged in despite the fact i am still logged in at the browser.


Someone ask a Discord staff member about this.
