Give everything in the general vicinity some bleach or you might get reoccuring problems even faster than expected. Bleach is magic stuff, kills everything other than anthrax.

Yeah that's the plan my friend though I need to be careful and not let my cat in until I'm sure he can not end up accidentally licking something with bleach on it.

I've never cleaned a window in my life and I don't...know what counts as a abrasive cleaner...

This might be why you get fungus growing in your house.

Bleach is wonderful for most types of house-fungi. Those weird black spots that grow in moist places such as bathrooms and kitchen also go away with bleach. To get the smell away and make it pet safe keep the room open and well ventilated after cleaning, for 12-24 hours at least. AFAIK Bleach isn't particularly toxic to animals when compared to some specific stuff such as ivermectin (deadly for cats) and other fungicides and pesticides, so it's probably safer. Plus it has a repulsing odor (anyone ever had a pet with a bleach fetish? My experience is that they hate it mostly)
