One other thing. If this 'sonic' commits to a charged fist attack at maximum speed, doesn't it risk having its own hands split apart from the force? Or the rippling effect from the new version in armour breaking potentially every bone in the body.

Movement speed doesn't figure into attack force.  Also, punching still does not do any damage to the attacker's hand.

I mean within the context of a charge attack, where the unit sprints at the target usually colliding with them. If this sonic character was making a effort to charge full on, how would that be relayed?

In effect i mean also, when they inevitably collide (if the running at full speed is in effect as i imagine) couldn't via the velocity just the force of the impact throw both of you back a fair distance? (leading to you potentially hitting a object and recieving a LOT of damage as per to joint tension)
