As a self-employed noob, you have to take what you can get. You left your lame cube mouse job a couple months ago because that's not where your passion lied. You were going to go into business with your co-worker to found ArmsTech, but he got too big for his britches and his start-up flopped like a fish on the deck. You operate out of (because you live in) Liberty, the City of Freedom. Yeah, right. It's only a five hour drive from the 8 million strong city of Verdant. You prefer Liberty's 3+ million. Enough bodies to make the city lively and happening, whilst having a balanced density, so lines aren't egregiously long, and the roads don't get clogged up during rush hour.
You have a nice little apartment in the Upper District. Nice area. Quiet, looks nice, and the people are too rich to be annoying, loud or generally annoying. You have a little bit of change from your severance package that Wage Slave Inc left you with. You know good and well it was basically "piss off" money, but you don't care; if it's green you're keen. Oh, god. Don't start making that your motto.
