Hey-o! Trying to come up with names for characters in games, stories, etc. and I needed some help! I also thought it might help other people :P

Types of names I'm looking for


(These are all general statements, they don't need to be directly connected to anything really)

Something about death/destruction, calamity
Something about life, happiness
Something intelligent
Something about being shy/quiet
Something myserious
Something about being greedy
Something about being peaceful
Something violent

You don't have to give me anything I'm looking for, feel free to just put up interesting names :P

Cool. I never really thought to split names up into male/female; I just think of people as 'them' and 'they'.

For what it's worth I've found this site very helpful in the past: Seventh Sanctum. They have a variety of other generators for non-name related things as well.

Fear names. Names have power in identity. Others can use names as weapons. Names are a hook that can be used to track you across the planes. Remain nameless, and you shall be safe.

Funnily enough, what I'm trying to do involves time travel and multi-dimensional, omnipresent beings that can travel through the universe at will. Indeed, names have power.
