Design by Committee - Meta Forum Game

Rules:
1. No double posting
2. The current state of the game should be described in each post and labeled Game in Progress
3. Copy the previous posts's description of the game and add/subtract/edit a bit. Don't edit too much with each post. There are no hard limits here but be reasonable.
4. The goal is to make this an actual playable forum game that can be played when we're done.
5. Players must try out their changes to see if it breaks the game.
6. Make it FUN!

SPLASH! can be played with any number of players.

Are we playing the game ("Splash") or just designing it? Or will there be a separate thread where people play it, that is separate from the game we're having now?

We are designing it. When we are done, we will play it, hopefully.
We can play test it along the way, to make sure it works.

The Aquatic (name to be decided later) and the Terrestrial (name to be decided later) are currently the biggest contenders in this war.

SPLASH is about total domination of the aquatic food chain, figuratively speaking.
