Dunno, have the rather silly notion right now our Britain friends made it clear they don't want us anymore.
Who are you? Juncker or Schulz? Lol, at any rate London is the most europhile place in the whole UK so you'd be in like-minded company

Kinda dumb to link things like this I'll readily admit, but then again, they always do tell us to vote with our wallets. That said, in general I hope the EU won't try to 'punish' the UK or anything like that, but that they can instead talk it over like reasonable people. But for me personally, I don't think I wanna visit there anytime soon.
Cool beans mate, wherever you are in the world I send my regards

In vaguely related news, Iran (and Russia) are apparently happy with the outcome (dunno if it's been posted already):
Iran Sees Brexit And The Potential Collapse Of The EU As A Historic Opportunity.
Russia and Iran delight in UK's rejection of EU.
Also, that petition is up to 305,293 votes. Does that mean they'll bring it up in parliament thrice now?  :P
Please promise to never post buzzfeed here, we got 21 50ppp without Daily Mail, we do not need its cancerous cousins xD

Westminster cares not for anything other than England, alas, with little more than lip service.
Oh yeah, Westminster's just only been calling Englanders idiotic, selfish, suicidal, uneducated morons who don't deserve the vote

What a nicer way to attack the poor and powerless on all fronts, and then have them take the blame for everything that goes wrong xP

They cared more about the EU than Britain, time for change

Hey now, I did add the other source as well! And besides, I usually don't dismiss sources out of hand, though I'll admit certain deserve, ah, closer scrutiny. Seemed legit enough this time.

For those who want a more stable English-speaking country to live in, try the one that made it even easier to immigrate to. Soon enough, we can plan the full migration of the British service sector to Ottawa, and Canada shall become the new England.

No it won't work. We don't hate enough, how will the British survive in Canada without minorities to blame for all their problems?

Well... Maybe they could meat out a living blaming Quebec.

Because if you're wrong, everything you loved and everyone you loved will suffer beyond you, and you will spent the last decades of your life watching it fall apart, seeing your life's work, your ancestral homeland run to ruins. Assuming you actually do outlive your grandchildren. One thing I don't like is how there have been recent pushes to make everyone atomized individuals seeking self-pleasure for themself, entirely disconnected from their roots, entirely appalled by the notion of starting a family. I think then it is quite revealing when people indicate they believe all think like them in this manner.

I hear the elderly are more into self-pleasure than you'd expect though. Comes with having relatively little else to do.

And beside that there's also a certain reactionary mindset that comes with the rationale you outlined. Either you're unafraid of being wrong, or you've got a strong incentive to take very decisive action in fixing the world before you die horribly. So it's a Morton's fork of sorts, mortality gets you either way.

Now if we can just hurry up and dissolve the Conservative party, finally push through electoral reform, and get a proper right-wing anti-globalist party in the running next election, our country would be in a great spot. I'm just hoping the death of FPTP comes soon enough, before the incoming waves of far-right nationalism peter out.

I would honestly love to see The UK to turn back into Britain.

I honestly don't know why Scotland, North Ireland, and Wales put up with it beyond dependency and tradition at this point.

It isn't like Britain respects them (well maybe Wales)
This might be helpful.

England =/= Britain.

Great Britain is the island of England, Scotland and Wales.
The UK is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The British Isles are England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland. (As well as the little islands)

Spain demands joint sovereignty over Gibraltar

Not the first time, not particularily new. And not quite "demands". It's a "generous*** offer". In all honesty I don't even think it's a serious offer. There are general elections in Spain in two days; I'd say that this is the goverment fishing for right-wing votes.

More likely the Gibraltar PM will try to make some kind of deal with the Madrid goverment on free circulation between Gibraltar and La Linea. Good luck with that, considering that in better times the guys at Madrid have refused to deal directly with them already. I doubt they'll feel more generous now.

I don't give two flying fucks about who runs the joint in Gibraltar (and in all honesty, I don't think too many people outside  military old-age asylums care about the place to begin with). That being said, if after Brexit I have more trouble and red tape in order to get to London, then as a matter of principle I don't see why some guy at Gibraltar should have a better deal than I do.

That said, in general I hope the EU won't try to 'punish' the UK or anything like that, but that they can instead talk it over like reasonable people.
Ehehe. 'Bout everything I've been seeing in this immediate reaction stage is pointing to the EU very reasonably* putting the thumbscrews to the UK over this, to a fair extent. Much of the official statements and whatnot coming out of them have been politispeak for "Yeah, fuck you too." Don't get things wrong, it won't exactly be over punishment (though there will no doubt be some of that, since the UK has now declared that at least 52% of the part of it that managed to vote wants to be in an adversarial relationship with the EU, whether that was their intent or not :P), but it's likely going to be pretty rough regardless. They've got whole hosts of pretty good reasons to play fairly hard ball, and a few fairly bad ones (like spite, and there's no doubt that the EU's members can be pretty spiteful), too. They'll talk it over like reasonable people, but to the detriment of pretty much everyone, the reasonable discourse in this case is probably not going to be pretty.

*Not even really a joke, there. The immediate pressure to get the A50 started and over with ASAP is a direct benefit to the rest of the union a small majority of the UK just told to fuck off, ferex -- the sooner investors and whatnot know exactly what's going to happen instead of this variable maybe state, the quicker their economies stabilize. And if that happens to screw over the UK worse than a slower process would, weeelllll...

Unfortunately for everyone, as near as I've been able to tell the leave side of things actually had no idea what the blue hell they were going to do if the referendum fell in their favor :V
