so at this point I'm afraid to ask but what agreement are England to drop if any because of the referendum?

can they drop eu and stay in cee?
Nope, I've seen a tweet from someone important person in EU saying that "Leave means leave" and if Britain leaves EU, then it will leave out of all EU agreements.

I think EU is going to try to make an example out of Britain by making it as hard as possible, mistakenly assuming that this will deter others from leaving EU, but which will instead only hasten the inevitable destruction of EU as more people will come to see EU as a tyrannical anti-democratic institution.

eh, idk politicians here don't have the balls of risking their chair.

I wish they take the opportunity for renegotiating some of the more bullshit deals like production quotas so we can resume some profitable exports sand be competitive again.

Grats for the Brexit camp I guess.

And the poor Brits will find out soon enough it changes shit, with the rich getting richer while the poor get poorer.
Well at least you can't scapegoat the EU now anymore.

The FTSE250 is in freefall too apparently. I hope this doesn't degenerate into self-sustaining panic.

Wow, those stockmarket spasms. AEX dropped by 9%, DAX dropped by 10%, German Bank saw it's share price drop by 20%. Pound dropped to it's lowest to dollar exchange rate in 30 years.

Thanks for the new recession, populism.

I am curious how this will affect the TTIP negotiations. With some luck the one good thing that will come of this is that TTIP goos to the paper shredder, because all paragraphs regarding the UK and EU have to be revised. At the very least it'll delay it for years.

They don't put every issue to a referendum vote because the public is not informed on every issue. For instance I'm sure a lot of Leave voters will be surprised when the recession kicks in and they lose their jobs.

Requiring a simple majority on an issue this important was stupid as fuck

The Spanish minister of foreign affairs has requested that Spain be given shared sovereignity over Gibraltar, because the UK leaves the EU, while 94% of Girbraltar's population voted stay.

We can only hope mate, we can only hope. We've done our bit, anyway, now it's up to the Yanks.
You keep to your side of the Atlantic you tea-drinking redcoat, and we'll keep to ours.

I get the impression you think I was making fun - I'm not, I genuinely think electing Trump would be the best thing for you. And for us, to be honest - he's already come out saying that under him, Britain would never be moved to 'the back of the queue', as Obama so charmingly put it.
I care precisely as much about what you think is best for America as you care about what the EU thinks is best for Britain.

Again, a question for people better informed: any guesses as to what British foreign policy will look like after this? Their relationship to Europe, Russia, China, and the US? It's all very curious from my perspective.

BREXIT is not "every issue'.

Requiring a 3/4 or even 2/3 majority is a very conservative thing to do.

Is the fact that the economy has already gone down the toilet also "funny" to you?

The economy hasn't gone down yet. chillax.

But damn me. i thought about buying some more Bitcoins and XEM for the case of Brexit actually happening but was fooled by the social media and polls echo chamber and decided not to. i think XEM might still be a good option seeing how japan reacts to the vote.

Yup, so far it's a stock market hit, but that's it. Keep in mind nothing will change for a couple years as they negotiate anyway.

Social media is going to be funny for the next few days. I wonder how many of those 'If we vote Leave, I'm leaving the country!' people are going to follow through.

I'll just say one word. Scotland.
