I went to my old fortress (wiped out by an attack of 300 goblins) and recruited a ghost. He wouldn't join my performance troupe or even listen to my poetry, but he did agree to join me on my adventures. Here we are taking over a village. Uh, what now and is this a known bug?

Also, I just gave him a shield. He's "hauling" it.

That's quite interesting. I'm pretty sure this is a bug, but you should definitely do some science on this. Can it kill? Can it be killed? Can it be set on fire? If you forcefully take control of it, what can you do? So many questions, save-scum if necessary.

No you can't kill it, I've played as a ghost and you can be encased in ice, swim around in eerie glowing pits, fart around all day in magma, any combination of other effects without concern.

You can't phase through walls while holding stuff but you can move through bridges and windows.

You can't fly so if you trade position with him and get him stuck over empty space he'll be trapped there until you wait/travel away.

Also, I just gave him a shield. He's "hauling" it.

That happens whenever a creature with no grasp body parts is somehow given an item to hold. It normally stops being hauled immediately though.

oh I see you too also got a ghost companion, yeah kinda been working on ghost adventurers but the process seems a bit weird in that the game would attempt to wipe your character from the adventure mode pool even though they are still alive.

Well, I'm not so good at this science stuff, so I figured I'd upload the save for you guys.

Also, it turns out this Mafol is no chump's ghost. He is actually the guy who killed the very forgotten beast whose =forgotten beast skull totem= is in the backpack in this save. Its teeth got made into a crown, and bones got made into a hammer, the Kánrikkir, an artifact forgotten beast bone hammer of incredible value that I was originally planning to ignite in eternal fire and sock goblins and elves with, before the dastardly goblins struck first. In this save we are fighting a Narrow Troll, although I'm doing most of the fighting (jerk). IF you want to escape you can compose a poem or something, I think.

There's my old fortress full of masterwork gear with another recruitable ghost to the west and the goblins we were going to kill in retribution to the east. Uh, if you go to the fortress, just know. I'm sorry about that artwork, didn't expect to share this.

I had a cat ghost companion well a dwarf companion who originally was a cat, and had all her body parts attached strangely?
ghost person can drink so take them to a bar and see if they can pass out drunk.
