You await outside the derelict manor, one of the many relics from humanity's past. Called here by a flyer you found in your mailbox, apparently there is a meeting for prospective adventurers here. Well, only one way to find out.

Hey guys, time for me to run another game! And probably give up halfway through, let's see how this goes.

So it's gonna be Steampunk-fantasy theme-wise, with a bit of post-apocalyptic mixed in. Here's some more info, in-character.

You mentioned robots. Are they okay for characters?

I'm rather tempted to revive a bodyjacker entity/character I had from a while ago for this.

Thoughts on a shapeshifting perk that behind the scenes allows respecing of statpoints and production of natural weapons provided ten or so minutes are spent on it with a few restrictions?

Restrictions being the following:

Intelligence is fixed and cannot be modified. Charisma is fixed at zero and cannot be modified. This creature is clearly something that should not be and it only becomes more obvious the longer you look at it. Radioactivity is not alterable via the perk and will function however it's supposed to function. The more points allocated to a given stat, the more blatantly monstrous the character becomes. Max points are limited by the body the entity is residing in at the given time. With the base character, it can be assumed by default the entity has 12 points to play with as only four of its stats would be applicable for it to alter, less if points are put into intelligence, as intelligence is the primary Fixed stat. If it lets say jumped ship and hijacked a different creature or the corpse of a creature, the only points it would keep are the radioactivity and Intelligence, the charisma staying fixed at zero. It would inherit whatever points the creature/corpse had, excluding points in intellect and charisma which are lost. No idea how rads would function in that scenario.

Examples of results of respecs along the lines of:

Dumping errything into strength = Visible muscular bulging, skin splitting at the seams, and so on. Eyes probably nonexistent if it's a full dump into strength, think along the lines of a battering ram in the form of flesh.
Dumping errything into dexterity = Functionally amorphous mass of tendrils. Also probably can't see if nothing is in perception. Millions of tiny tendrils are great for manipulation of objects and slipping through cracks though!
Dumping errything into Agility = Know how some people are double jointed? Now imagine that but every limb has around fifty joints. And they all make that wet cracking noise when they move. And the same applies to the spine. Also tendrils for swinging. Why would a shapeless abomination swing with hands?
Dumping errything into perception = Did you say eyes? That's all we have. And mouths. And noses I guess. And if you look hard enough you might see an ear or thirteen. Also the eyes double as mouths.

Obviously fully respeccing would cause problems in the other categories, so it would likely be kept more balanced.

Hm.... Alright, that seems promising. Send me a PM if you want, and we can discuss this further. Also, radioactivity would be limited to the body the creature is inhabiting, assuming it leaves it's previous physical form behind., the one which gathered all them harmful gamma rays.

I'd imagine some rads would stay with the creature, It's functionally taking its brain and integrating with the new host.

Well... Depends. What kind of mythological creatures?

Also, I updated the OP to have more information about mechanics, as I usually forget about those, and it's a pain having to improv. it every time.

Accepted. And although I'm already fairly sure I understand it, what exactly does Knitter of Flesh do?

Also, that'll round down.

Knitter of Flesh is basically the term I'm using for the formshifting/assimilation trait. Sounded nice thematically. It does exactly what we discussed it does. I'll prolly make an addition to the sheet when we start to keep track of materials and allocations of said materials to cut down on crunch for ya.

Why thanks for that. And yeah, was just checking. Also, you probably won't start with any equipment, not that that should really effect your character.

No equipment makes sense. What need does a shapeless abomination have for clothes?
