My Worldgen keeps crashing
« on: March 20, 2016, 07:55:21 pm »

Here are my parameters;
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It gets to "Preparing Elevation" and stays there until I force quit the program. Is this a bug, or is there something fucky with my params?

At least his moaning and chain rattling will be in key and hopefully entertaining.

Maybe you can replace half of the code with normal world gen lines. If it doesn't crash, then the faulty line may be in another half.

If it was a problem with your parameters you would get world rejections not the program freezing.
Have you generated any other worlds? maybe with default settings?
Elevation is fairly early in the generation process, so i'd try a smaller world first.

Thanks, i'll give that a go.

All the default advanced params work, as does simple worldgen. It's just this param set.

Might be a bug with your elevation X and Y variances set differently from one another? Only thing I can think of, and I can't test it myself at the moment, but it might be worth looking into and reporting if that's the case.

Quietust, what would we ever do without you and your endless knowledge of v0.23a?
I was going to say "fail spectacularly", but you guys seem to be doing a great job of that already.
