KINGDOMS: Procedural Medieval Sandbox RPG
« on: March 18, 2016, 03:31:34 pm »

It's currently greenlit on Steam, and it looks like it has major potential. If these devs come through on what they're hoping to make, we very well might have an incredible game on our hands.

KINGDOMS - Steam Store Page

From the Store page:
Spoiler: Game Information (click to show/hide)

I wouldn't suggest buying it at this point, but I'd definitely follow it and watch the progress. If they actually finish this game even relatively like they plan to, it's going to be a great game.

Movement of sword depends on mouse movement... oh gods, I'm having Die By The Sword flashbacks, and they're janky as all hell ;_;

That's not in yet, but the placeholder sword fighting system they currently have in is a little bit laughable.

Not trying to be the guy to shoot something down as it pops...but I tested this around a version or two before the current one, and everything was pretty terrible, buggy, ugly, etc. I'd recommend high amounts of waiting and previewing before investing in it.
The concept is really great and I do want to see something like this get done, though.

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

I've also tried it and my experience was quite the same. That's the reason for:
