sometimes i just silence dwarf fortress and play the witcher 1 OST in the background. Great ambiental music with a medieval feel, and lots of mood variations

A friend of mine used to run a script that would automatically play this every time a vile force of darkness arrived.

If i had to play one, it should start with this for the siege that is coming, seeing thousands of angry goblins and trolls marching to your fortress while your outnumbered legendary and skilled dwarves weaponmasters are holdng bravely their ground :

This is rather the music goblins play or listen to when they besiege your fortress.

I hope one day goblins will make camps when besieging, with actual instruments, and playing and dances around the fire...
