A request has been had for a mini turn to oficially swear in Noir as a voluntary Omega. Weirdo. Welcome to the Home of Really Bad Life Decisions.
Anyway. Ahem.
the Eye sends the official request, and recieves the go ahead, along with the above insults, which it may or may not relay to Noir, at it's discretion.
The Eye also receives instructions on use of a coin it carries in a compartment on its undercarriage. It is to yield this coin to Aylia, as the NCO in charge.
Aylia will, with the Eye observing, hold the coin up in front of Noir, who will stand at attention, or something approximating that, we're not picky, and will recite the Omega Oath, which Noir will recite back. At the conclusion of the recitation, Noir is to hold her hand out, palm up, and Aylia is to place the coin in her palm and close Noir's fingers over it, stating "you are inducted into her majesty's Service, as a member of the Omega Legion.
I, [recruit name] do hereby pledge my Allegience to Her Majesty [Queen Name], ruler of [country name], Defender of the Faiths, Servant f the People, Guiding Light of the Seven Isles. I pledge my service as a soldier of teh Omega legion, subject to its laws and authority, to act as an agent of the will of the Queen through the power of the Legion, acting in good faith to advance the cause of Queen and Legion, as long as the Legion will have me. I take this Mark as a token of the privileges and benefits that the Legion will bestow in response: protection, aid in need, and shelter. So be it.
((special gift for anyone willing to track down the queen's name and the country name. I'm reasonably sure I mentioned both in one of the Omega Threads. I seem to have misplaced both in my notes, however.))
There are several minor variants to the Omega Oath, but they all include certain points that must be made, which include a) voluntary acceptance of joining, b) submission to the Omega Charter, c)promising to advance the cause of the Queen, d) and to not act knowingly against the interests of Omega or the Queendom. there is also a clause acknowledging that, this being a voluntary recruitment, the recruit can resign from Omega by making due notice to the proper authorities. Omega tends to refuse to take back volunteers who later resign in this fashion, unless said volunteers take the Brand. They are pretty serious about this one, though there are rumors that someone in the leadership has resigned and later been admitted back in without the Brand.
