Family
Head of House: Cro-Cagon of the minor house: Silcugar. Male, 38, Alive (and virile!). A heavy handed lover of blood sport, Cro-Cagon in known for his arbitrary ethics and fierce defense of his homelands. He is dark-skinned, like his ancestors who traveled the sea to claim their spiritual right. Unlike Silcugar, the founder of the house, Cro-Cagon has lost the Spirit Path and rules with his sword first and his pen last. The lack of adequate recordings of the houses history mixed with their assimiliation with local customs have muddied the bloodline and the integrity of the name... but don't tell Cro-Cagon that!

Spouse(s):
Malaya (First Wife). Eldest and betrothed at birth (Wife of Fate), Malaya is the cunning side to Cro-Cagon's brutality, matching his age and sternness. Cunning, Matriarchal, Harsh.
Suino (Second Wife). Chosen on the eve of Cro-Cagon's sixteenth birthday (Wife of Rite), Suino was the passionate flame that fueled Cro-Cagon's ambition. Now, though, his ambition and fury burns too brightly, and Suino shies away at his touch. Mousy and timid, she is a disgrace. Timid, weak, artistic.
Isabella (Third Wife, Prisoner of War). Taken away from her home on a raid, Cro-Cagon married Isabella after his most successful conquest. The raided house still hopes to save Isabella from Cro-Cagon's barbaric rituals, but he would die before suffering such a disgrace. She is light skinned, poised, and cold; made a statue by her years of imprisonment. Still, the harsh conditions of House Silcugar have forged her into a stronger woman, mentally and physically. Stoic, distant, cynical.
Yusui (Fourth Wife). Youngest wife, chosen arbitrarily on Cro-Cagon's thirtieth birthday. Four is the cultural limit for Berkarnen culture, only acceptable if you are extremely powerful or wealthy. She is only sixteen, but shows some promise as a shield maiden. Excitable, Starry-eyed, Careless.

Designated Heir: Ad-Cagon, third son of Cro-Cagon (Malaya). Male, 19, Alive. Not as ferocious as his elder brother Cru, but doubly pious, Ad is an adept fighter but a stronger scholar. He has masters several arts, favouring the tolo (traditional flute). His quick mind has been able to temper Cro-Cagon's disappointment in his lack of savagery. Reserved, scholarly, critical.

Other Children:
  • Cru-Cagon, first son of Cro-Cagon (Malaya). Male, 23, Dead. Killed in battle. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, but apples don't survive 50 feet drops off of cliffs.
  • Cien, first daughter of Cro-Cagon (Malaya). Female, 21, Alive. Noble women of Berkarnen have the choice of the War Path or the Home Path. Cien chose War. She has her father's anger, but shows the restraint Cru-Cagon did not. Passionate, Wroth, Pious.
  • Bale-Cagon, second son of Cro-Cagon (Suino). Male, 6(20), Dead. Died to infection. "His blood was as weak as his mother's," Cro-Cagon said at the pyre.
  • Rur-Cagon, fourth son of Cro-Cagon (Malaya). Male, 17, Alive. The runt of the family, Rur was a sickly baby that grew into a thin adult. He desparately desires the afection of his parents, and goes to lengths to impress them with his combat prowess. To his credit, he's learned to adapt a quicker, more nimble style of combat to suit his frame. Needy, Hot-tempered, Nimble.
  • Syle, second daughter of Cro-Cagon (Malaya). Female, 15, Alive. Born mere weeks before Befta, Syle was destined to fill the role that Cien rejected, the Home Path. Turns out, this suited her just fine. Unlike her siblings, Syle has a kind heart and an old soul. She hates the way her father treats Suino and Befta, and hopes to one day bring some civility back to her House. Compassionate, sharp, frail.
  • Befta, third daughter of Cro-Cagon (Suino). Female, 15, Alive. To Cro-Cagon's chagrin, Befta was allowed the choice of either path as the odd daughter. She chose the War Path, both to spite her father and her lineage. She is dull of mind, but has grown into a large frame. Her cumbersome style is compensated with her feral attitude. Dumb, Hardy, Stubborn.

Demographics

Founder: Silcugar sailed from a distant continent to claim the prize on a Spirit Quest. Following the tempered Spirit Path of Sword and Pen, Silcugar carved out a small kingdom out of warring city-states and villages. This was long before the current political climate, and doubted among many scholars from lack of written evidence.

Fealty: House Lordenstein

Land: Preferably desert/arid climate. Mountainous terrain. Good for defense, bad for crops. The castle will be situated in the most defensible position available, regardless or arability of land. A mountain pass or key junction of rivers would be favorable. More to come with whomever I pledge fealty to.

Castle: Very old, but extremely sturdy. Made of a foundation of sandstone and reinforced over the centuries with higher grade material, this is more of a bastion than anything. The castle is a military barracks first and foremost, offering spartan dwellings and copious training regiments. Everyone in the castle is trained to fight. Everyone. There are a few foreign scholars (mostly at the request of Ad-Cagon), but most of the castle is brimming with soldiers and servants. The surrounding town scrapes by on what arable land they have, but the mountains nearby allow for refining of minerals into armors, weapons, and tools that are traded for food from allied vassals.

Culture: Berkarnen (partial assimilation). A foreign culture from a distant land, Berkarnen peoples are often warlike, stoic, and adventurous. They are dark skinned and typically boast large, imposing frames. The culture is centered on fertility, war, the home, competition, and strength amid adversity. Much knowledge of the culture has been lost, but the holes have been filled in with the House Lord's culture.

May wind up making turn length variable depending upon certain conditions, if only due to the fact that if I stick with 1 turn=1 season on a once a week basis, only 13 in-game years will pass each real-life year.  As of right now, I'm going to have it set that while the King is alive, 1 turn will be a full in-game year.  Once dead, things will go on a 1 turn=1 season basis for a couple turns, then the rate will either increase or remain the same (single season, half year, and single year are going to be what could be considered as being 'speed settings'), depending upon how the situation develops.

Also I just realised:

House Abstract
Head of House:
Lord "Abstract" Von Lordenstein the 30th
A kind countenance and a relatively caring man, but beneath that kind heart lies a man who is slowly going mad the pressure of trying to keep this house together, trying to take care of his children, and a culture he doesn't understand, nor want to understand.  Without his supportive wife, he'd have surely lost his life to despair.
Age:25
Male
Appearance:an albino frail weak and skinny and pale grey eyes always with bags under them looking more like a child....and a corpse then a leader to his people.
5ft2
Medium length hair reaching his shoulders

Spouse:
Catherine Von Ludenberg
Greedy and manipulative, Catherine could be considered the true Lord of the house.  She helps as a mother and with finances, and actually is usually the one people talk to during a diplomatic meeting.  She fully intends to take her husband from leadership and rule herself, but she so far does not want to kill him and would prefer greatly to convince him to step down.  With how much the Lord needs her, she may soon have her chance.
Age:45
Black long flowing hair 6ft2 with blue eyes and a bright smile big boobs and many other desirable features.

Designated Heir:
Lord Von Lordenstein the 31
Age:6
Still taking their first steps into the world, the young Lord has no idea who he is and is struggling to develop at all.  He is twitchy, nervous, and has a terrified view of the world. Ultimately he wants to just hide from everything.
He has black hair and pale gray eyes and is currently 4ft6 with slightly pale skin.

Other Children:
Lilly Von Ludenberg: age 5
Appearance:
An albino with blue eyes like her mother she stands 4ft6 and is currently flat chested but that's kinda expected.
Personality:Friendly and sweet commonly the person who greets visitors with presents jewlery/candy/money a hug and a smile always willing to help others though this can get her in trouble
Lissa Von Lordenstein: age 4

Appearence:Faded black hair with gray streaks in it Lissa seems to be an....I'll  child sadly but her eyes are a unique vibrant green holding a strong will for some odd reason...
Personality: SLEEPY and sluggish she commonly follows Lissa and her siblings with their daily activities wordlessly a complete and utter mute she has not spoken a word and as such her motivations will be hard to decipher in the coming years if she is smart enough.
Bob Von donenstine
Age:18 ((adopted))
Charismatic and known as a bit of a jokester, but a highly skilled swordsman.  He is horribly naive about the reality of this world and is currently adventuring across the known world for fortune and glory for his family house, with a band that is open for hire to any of the houses called Sidonia's Courageous Wolves. It is composed of over a hundred men and shockingly women including Sidonia herself.
6ft6 with blind hair and brown eyes many bruises and scars from his training with the mercenary's are present over his body he is very fit physically.

Demographics
Founder: Abstract Von Lordenstein
Color:Pale Gray ((think stone))
Land: It is a treacherous journey to enter the land without adequate preparation. It is surrounded on all sides by mountains and actually is not directly touching the borders of any other major house, but with 4 days it can be reached.  The land outside it being basically a desert interspersed with rivers and grassy plains that are quite fertile. Many small towns and the majority of the populace live here while nobles, the military, and others of notable reputation stay in the deepest parts of the country that is surrounded by mountains.  While the inside is rocky, containing jagged cliffs and deep caves with mineral resources, it's full of calm and fresh rivers, predators, limited amounts of prey, and poisonous plants that without careful preparation will make an individual extremely ill.  Few people live here besides the castle and training grounds, and those that do are commonly bandits, mercenaries, or nomads.

Castle: Built into a mountain, it is made mostly of marble as well as hardened and smoothed obsidian.  Three spiraling towers rise through the rocks and are where the nobility commonly sleep when they are coming once a season for their reports. The central, largest one is where the king, his spouse, and heir live, with the rest of the children living in the surrounding towers.  The area inside the tower is massive with its corridors being tight and claustrophobic, making it easy to get lost among them all.

Culture: people who kill their enemies and wild animals for furniture, food, and other things.  Many of these enemies are criminals, commonly thieves or bandits.  Some individuals are whispered to be very accepting of death, praying to the god of the dead to watch over those they have lost.  Those within the castle are known to be extremely polite and courteous to guests, treating them like angels and beloved friends regardless of preconceived perceptions but Individuals at the trading posts and towns, while kind externally, are internally xenophobic and wary of anyone they do not know.  They are frequently skittish and easily frightened, though with occasional exceptions.((ex solders are not easily frightened.
