Today Baron Uzol Ducimnicat called me to the throne room. It seems that none have of the merchant wagons that had been sent to Bannerweaken have returned for the past four years have returned. The last communication from Bannerweaken was from a concerned citizen saying that their current leader had locked himself in a room, and commanded the miners to dig the entire adamantium spire out. Usually the nobles would be to drunk to care, but due to the recent booze shortage, Uzol sobered enough to realize that something must have happened to Bannerweaken. he has sent me and 5 other warriors to Bannerweaken to find out what happened there.
Also he is sending several farmers and brewers to help end the booze crisis.

I and the other members of the Felowship Of The Beer have arrived at Bannerweaken. much like i remember, rotten goo is falling all over the sky. It is somewhat strange to be back here after all these years.

Two days ago Our Fellowship was attacked by earthworm demons. then a bunch of stuff happened...
And I became the new mayor of Bannerweaken! It seems demons escaped from the underworld here after these dwarves dug too deep. I have taken over management on Bannerweaken to rally survivors, and to destroy the demons before they attack the rest of the world.

Imic has told me to have my miners dig to the adamantium vein. after all, most demons have already left it.
I have sent Diggy on this quest.
He also told me about a secret plan, the details of which I will not divulge here. I have rearanged the squads. I of course am the Militia Commander.

I have noticed a ghost named Sodel Uvaruzel haunting Gwolfski. Sodel is just restless and Gwolfski doesn't seem to mind, so I've decided to let it.
Also I have tried to get MoonyTheHuman to do some work but he keeps refusing and talking to himself, something about something terrible happening in two years... anyway I got temporary ESP and noticed that a earthworm demon had killed a human poet named Dastot Muthkatkodor. And Dastot had several human bone crowns, so it seems he may have been a vampire. Another human poet named Snodub Stasostbonrosp is being attacked by a few Pterosaur Demons. in fact a stream of poets seem to be heading here. Why? is it because if they survive they can write a song about it? And why are most of them naked? maybe I should stop thinking about it. And there's a incorporeal Echidna that if it weren't surrounded by demons I would retreive it for training purposes.

Stasost HatedSword is a goblin bard that has survived for a whole day. Stasost is tired though. Fatephantom the Dead Ghost kicked him in the right lower arm and collapsed it into a lump of gore.
Then his right foot was torn apart. he is too tired though. it is only a matter of time, till he dies.
I know not how but DDDragoni got to the surface and was interupted by a earthworm demon.
DDDragoni only has 24 tower-cap bolts left. Let's give DDDragoni a moment of silence

I put on a well-crafted item. I am so content about this. also, I'm being attacked by a earthworm demon in the middle of the fort who must have got in because of a structural fault that imic made. YOU EARTHWORMY THINGY! U RIPPED MY KNEE!!! AHHHH I AM IN A RAGE ABOUT THIS!--- okay My avatar has died, so I'm
going to stop speaking in the first-person..also it's kind of embarrasing that i've played just six in-game days and already lost my avatar. Anyway the demon is in the stairway just right of the tavern. Lunatic is busy getting
provisions and isn't near the demon. Cerol is not a dwarfed formumer and he isn't in the military, but he took that moment to grab some stuff from the room under the demon.
Nikarus is close to the demon, but he too is getting provisions. Diggy is wayoff, so i'm locking him up in case he can save himself that way. Gwolfski is slighly off near the coffin room. Tuxfanturnip is way off also digging so he might be spared. Imic is next to Lunatic in the food stockpile. MoonyTheHuman and TheCheeseMaker are both close to diggy so they might be spared. Now a non-naked human dancer is visiting. Many people now are getting caught in the earthworm's web. more demons are coming. Right now diggy and Tuxfanturnip are my last hope.
just so you know, there are two forgotten beasts. one FB is a towering noseless beaver with about 200 scars,
and the other FB is an enormous three-eyed crocodile who has poisonous gas, and whose brain is rotten. there is definately NOT a third FB in a secret location for next-turners to find, that idea is absurd.
Dammit, Tuxfanturnip decided now is a good time for semi-fresh underwear. Well, i'm going to forbid it, how do you like that? what's with this? i don't remember it deleting all the alerts before 2 days are up. is the alert deletion have to with real time that can't be paused? what!? purring maggot leather cap? ugh.

Diggy is the near-last surviving dwarf in the fort. WAIT, Tuxfanturnip has entered a martial trance! not sure what a martial trance does, but it probably slightly increases his chances of surviving. hope it also allows him to evade webbing. uh-oh, Tuxfanturnip was hit with deadly spittle. that can't be a good thing. Let's give Tuxfanturnip a moment of silence...

Why is demon webbing only worth 6 urists? anyway Diggy is indeed my only hope. it's essentially a impromptu hermit mode.

Nomal Kolshoduk, baron consort of Roofecho is visiting. my soon-future condolences to the baroness of Roofecho. Wait, Nomal is a goblin! is Roofecho's barroness a goblin? Diggy's going to make some slabs, do some mining, then brave a cavern that doesn't have a FB already in order to try farming.

Nomal Kolshoduk, is still alive and is neither tired, nor injured. I don't know how he's doing it, but I kinda wish my dwarves had had that ability. Nomal has a instrument. Maybe his music is soothing the savage Demon?
I have decided to send Diggy to the third cavern layer. The first and second have FBs I can see and Diggy will need food eventually. Hi-ho Hi-ho it's off to the third cavern layer I go. The game is more laggy now, then when I started. It may have to do with the buildings being destroyed all over the place by demons.

Diggy hasn't see any corpses, so he's weirdly un-stressed considering theres been a demon invasion, and that he's the only survivor.

Not sure how many days are in a dwarf-month but the new demon invasion started at least eight days ago, So Diggy should celebrate his survival. Or I suppose he could just keep trying to survive, but what is fun about
that?

I've opened my little fortress to the third cavern layer. I hope there won't be a FB here before Diggy can complete the wall. thanks to his steel pick Diggy should be able to handle any non-FB, non-GCS cavern creature.
Also amid all the Death and Destruction a Porcupine has gotten stuck in a tree. Nomal Kolshoduk is not stiill shown on the "other" unit list, so he either died(likely) or went out of the area(possible). Diggy has a pick which brought him here, but he has no Axes, so no beds or other wooden items for him.

The Dead/missing list is currently at 1351. neither of the non-trapped FBs are listed on the "other" list. I wonder if they are dead or just left the area. Just so you know the tame Naked Mole dogs died about an in-game week ago.
I'm letting Sodel the restless ghost "live" so that he might take a blow intended for Diggy.

Diggy is thirsty, but instead of going to the river, I'm going to try brewing some plump helmets.
He tries to pray to his god, but considering the god won't gift him booze, i canceled his praying.
His survival is slightly more important than his sanity right now.

After the FB got into Diggy's base and made it his own, Diggy got a second base that's not that far from the origional, but just enough to be safe from the FB for the moment. The Outpost Liasion from the doomed caravan is still alive, blistered and tired, but alive.

Now that I have some new dwarves let's tell you about the resident dwarves.
Diggy, a Miner who single-handedly saved the fort from destruction.
Cor, Primarch Of The Foehammers, a recruit who I will make into a Hammerdwarf to be feared.
MoonyTheHuman originally died in the Second Demon Invasion, but i noticed this guy goofing off, so i redwarfed MoonyTheHuman.
Libash Tradeenjoys, is a skilled Animal Caretaker, Talented Wound Dresser and Diasgnogtician, and novice Gelder. I couldn't think of anybody wanting to be (re-)dwarfed who told this guy's description. If she's still alive at the end of my turn you can ask to have her specifically as your dwarfed guy. okay, that's it with the descriptions.
After I fill in the entrances, I'm going to have to make a lot of coffins and slabs, then i'm going to train Cor while the others do important things(farming, brewing, cooking, hauling, goofing off).
Moony has chosen to clean some of the fort. We're going to have slightly less blood around.

Diggy has semi-completed his current base. MoonyTheHuman must like cleaning, because he purposefully chooses to do so when he could be doing important things. I wonder if this is the first time in history someone has been lazy by cleaning?

The fort has been sealed off from the outside world. no bards have come in some time. I wonder if they too realize
that this place is dangerous. I think I shouldn't memorilize the ghosts that are currently floating around Diggy, because they have been floating around so long without scaring him that it seems wrong to destroy them.

I just had a thought. what if the demons aren't in the tavern because they want to hit the artifact chest?
what if demons like taverns just as much as dwarves? maybe dwarves and demons should make a peace treaty to the effect that they'll work together to destroy the elvish forests?

Ugh. the entire extended Imic had a family reunion. or at least their ghosts did. they made many architectural mistakes that surely will lead to the end of the fortress. However the ghosts made it in such a way, that it will take 2 years for it to fall. Today Moony thought the following. "Wouldn't it be grand to just take my life off and do nothing for the rest of my days?" There's a lone duckling outside.
