Well, that was a serious population explosion. Also, I say marksdwarves over ballistas. Ballistas are useless.

Well, if one is a fan of traps. You could make a trap hallway, with fortifications to one side, and on the opposite side of the fortifications, they could trap a GCS, or maybe link it back around to the 6 demons sealed in the well. From there you could put a dwarf in the airlock, and open the outer gates so the demons try and attack that dwarf, having to pass the other demons, and possibly getting webbed and trapped.
But I don't recall correctly if demons are webbable by their own kind of web. I usually use GCS for this.

Webbers are immune to being webbed, so if they are trap avoid also, then they are immune from cage traps.  Stun via cave-in dust onto a cage trap will work.

They're immune to stunning, too.

Cave in stuns everything, does it not?

Heres a thought. Due to the small supply of bolts. Could you do a shooting gallery in 1 direction. Then have the back wall "floored" with fortifications. And a level down, put an area to vollect the bolts.

I know you can shoot at a sharp angle down through fortifications, but i dunno if ammo can drop through them.

Make a two high room with soil , put water wheels on top level. This bugs trees into growing often enough, compared to normally needing a 3-5 high room. Make wood bolts. better  than nothing. If any metal left, use the Armok-gifted method of increasing you metal stocks.

Just for the first page info, for Lunatic, what he does, I dont care, and if by some means he dies, don't redwarf.

42.06, the most recent Lazy Newb Pack is the correct number.
In stupid side news, after messing around a bit, digging a few more airlocks on my own time, was able to get 4 more migrant waves sucessfully despite danger, and without losing a dwarf. (Tunneled out to the edgesand built spots next to the 3 points migrants kept coming.
Retook the surface sections and the charcoal supply stored there.
This let me do a 2z deep soil area for trees, and am now getting some massed wooden bolts for training.

Up to 70 surface demons though so.....

1 Granite:
Spoiler: me (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: DDDraconi (click to show/hide)
This... This isn't as bad as I expected! The layout, I mean. The demons are, in fact, pretty bad. But if I'm not mistaken, they have either no or very roundabout access to the caverns. I'm sinking a secondary shaft and double-airlocking it.

18 Granite:

Double-airlocking it. Levers in order of proximity to the fort.

9 Slate:

They know that some of these coffins will be theirs.

1 Felsite:

There were no survivors. I have no practice in getting migrants to do things like this, and they didn't even manage to get logs ready for the next wave to block themselves in.

20 Felsite:
The caverns appear to be safe and sound, but I'm walling off a small area just in case.

24 Felsite:
A troll! A troll in the caverns! And the earthworm demon is now the proud mother of another set of triplets.

1 Hematite:
A vile force of darkness has arrived!
...Good luck gobbies, I guess.

3 Hematite:

9 Malachite:

I floored over one little... leak into the lower caverns. The fire-breathing swallophant is a problem for another day. Or year.

17 Malachite:

The walls are done! A small section of the upper cavern is now ours to safely exploit. This, or course, mostly means wood.

20 Malachite:
Most of the dwarves are complaining about not being able to pray, have fun or see their family. The family thing I can't really do much about. But by all means, have yourselves a temple and tavern.

2 Galena:
More migrants. Let's see if they can get in.

4 Galena:

Nope.

10 Galena:

The fortress is busy with chores now: memorializing the dead migrants, logging in the caverns, and cooking some nicer meals.

19 Galena:

A... A decent meal, you say? I won't judge.

26 Galena:

At least they can exchange tales from before the apocalypse Elagn caused.

10 Limestone:
I'm so sorry, liaison.

......
........yep, I just deleted all the logs for this session. And because this is gedit, there's no way to recover them. Great. I'll try to piece it together from screenshots, though the dates are gone forever.

?? ?????:

These levers, in the same north/south order as the bridges they're linked to, are for the airlock below, which will be operational once migrants remove the outer wall, already designated in the image.

?? ?????:

These shouldn't be in here. Really, really shouldn't.

?? ?????:

That explains it. I really should be more careful with auto-mining.

?? ?????:

Of course this is the first thing I make with the art commission features.

1 Opal:

Sealed off those veins just in time. I guess that means plans for controlled cavern access are on hold.

13 Obsidian:
Naked mole dogs make for great target practice.

3 Granite:
Just a bit late, and a few things are unfinished. I didn't get much done during my turn, but at least there's safe wood access. Population is still 13, the demon list doesn't stop from getting taller, and crossbow practice is held on Tuesdays in the demonically defurbished workshop room. Welcome to Bannerweaken!
And a couple of fun stats:

(and I only got the file size partway through the first session)

I guess my survival means Elagn failed. Incredible work, Linksc!

Let me just figure out DFFD again, now...

I'll count that as a check-in, and give you 9 days from when Tuxfanturnip uploads their save.
