I didn't find a topic that wasn't at least a year old, so... yeah. The expansion is out. It costs ten dollahs, featuring a) strategic resources floating in space, 2) space now divided into sectors, 3) more useful/interesting space stations, 4) revamped ground combat, 5) new victory conditions and 6) more quests, technology and everything.

I played it like an hour and it seems interesting, giving more depth to the game and certainly worth the relatively low prize. Of course, the certain basic design decisions of Stardrive persist, such as it being primarily a wargame and diplomacy not mattering much.

I mean its a fun game, but it doesn't really have much depths beyond that, like civ without multiplayer.

MP would be glorious...

There are good ideas tho, like the racial techs and a couple of the species. I'll play it while waiting for Stellaris.
