With a groan, pretty much all the traces of Matsumoto's smile just vanish near-instantly.
"And there's no guarantee I'll even come to the time I am from? Well isn't that just great? If this were a book, then I lived in the epilogue, and while it could be a lot better, I sure as hell don't want to go back to the ending. Because I've read the ending - everyone dies in it and everything else gets eaten, not a time I'd like to live in."

The first time this happened to me, I had to learn English from some guy who learned all his (quite shoddy) Japanese from bloody children's cartoons and pretty much fight from the get go.
