Edward would simply remain quiet and wait. He could talk to Alanis after he ate.

"Ian, I dress nice then hang out in clubs in my off time."
Ian says jokingly as he reaches for her hand.

The waitresses appear from the kitchen with trays for everyone's orders and start giving them out.
Jerry would notice that when he inevitably attempts to find something to criticise about his meal......it seems almost impossible. Almost, only because it is Jerry, after all.

The whole meal seems to be completely and utterly perfect. The diagonal cut is completely clean, the crust perfectly trimmed but not cut, the bacon and lettuce perfectly placed and the lettuce watered just right with the tomato perfectly dried. The coffee, too, seems to be exactly- not almost exactly, exactly- to order; a handful of saffron and French vanilla creamer included.

No matter how hard he looks for imperfections, the sandwich and coffee simply seems to lack any.

This seems to be the case with every other meal delivered. The food, it seems, is completely perfect, as are the drinks.
Maeve studies Alanis with a glare and a scowl, as she does to everyone else.

Alanis darts her hand around his, before proffering it in turn.

Then her milkshake shows up.

She seems unperturbed by Maeve's glaring.

"Oh, thank you!  This is a very good milkshake!"

Alan, meanwhile, slowly sips at his tea, seemingly ignorant of the eighth of an inch of ice in fingerprint shapes frozen on to the table.

Lieselotte quietly gives her a nod before leaving.

The milkshake.....well, you know the drill at this point.
The tea.....is really good; quite flavourful and yet subtle.....

Ian takes her hand and kisses it. It'd be creepy if he were less charismatic. As he isn't,  it's quite endearing.

Alanis returns the nod to Lieselotte.

And then just sort of gives Ian a Look.

"...Perfect.  Thank you."

Maeve raises an eyebrow at Ian.
"Heh. That's our boss for you."

((Argh, who's talking to whom?))

((Kina is talking to Alan.))

[TheBiggerFish]

"Well, they're really good at whatever it is they do."
((It's interesting though, Alan ordered from Lieselotte and Alanis ordered from Kina.))

"Well, they run the place and basically act as the one-man-kitchen around here. I mean, the rest of us are only here as cashiers or waitresses. Or assistants to help them run the place while they cook."

Edward would quietly but quickly scarf down his meal, seemingly ravenous despite looking completely fine. he finishes the meal with surprising efficiency, and then turns to look at and watch Alanis.
