Migrants don't seem to understand bridges.
« on: March 04, 2016, 03:37:35 pm »

When I started my current fort, it was blocked off by a river and all visitors had to get around it.

I ignored this since all the visitors still made it to my fort, but all of them, including goblins, appear in the same spot and presumably take the same route.

Thanks to this, I was greeted by these lovely words in the first year and every single migrant, enemy, visitor, titan, and caravan used the same route, I decided to build a bridge.

Nobody used it.

Not even the human caravan, which is directly east of my fortress (The river was also east of the fort), decided to use the bridge.

Is the AI not programmed to take player-built structures into account?

The day my first titan arrived is the day I'll never forget.
I prepared all my squads.
All the archers.
All the macedwarves.
I knew it was going to be an unforgettable fight.
And then the caravan killed it.

I don't have the save with me at the moment.

However, I did look over it and it is possible to get around the river, but it's still inconvenient.
