The Game Thread--The Setting--
Zootopia.
A place where anyone can be anything. Where mammals, both predator and prey live together in harmony. A shining beacon of Animal civilization and evolution from their ancestors. Divided into twelve districts, each specifically designed to accommodate the lifestyles of every type of animal imaginable. Simply put, it was the grandest city the world had ever seen.
Or, it was.
March 3rd, 2016.
A pandemic from an unknown source spreads from the Rainforest district, and sweeps through the rest of the districts. It spreads through the entire city and across the country. Turning the infected deadly ill, or aggressive to the point of atavistic savagery.
March 8th, 2016.
The Central Government collapses five days after the initial outbreak. Basic services fail and without access to food or water, the country quickly descends into chaos.
March 12th, 2016.
The city's nuclear power plants stop working after three days of working autonomously as its employees did not show up to work.
The world is plunged into darkness.
March 13th, 2016.
The Strategic Homeland Division (SHD), or "The Division" for short, is activated.
You are part of this group. A classified stay-behind force of self-supported tactical agents. Leading seemingly ordinary lives, you have been trained to operate independently of command when all else fails.
You are the final straw in keeping what remains of animal civilization together.
Save what remains, put the city back together.
Will you save the city? Save yourself, your friends and family? Or choose to have your own goal?
Do you have what it takes to achieve it? Or will you succumb to the many dangers that lurk behind every corner?
A high lethality Squad-based Survival/Base building management Zootopia X The Division game.
--The System--
Following up on my previous games, we are opting to balance the crunch. Where there’s just enough crunch for everyone to have fun customizing your characters and feel as they grow powerful, but not too much that there are many redundant stats and points where you won’t really care for anyway.
And here’s a Character sheet for anyone who is interested. [with extra explanations.][Please don’t include the things in brackets in your actual sheets.]
Name: [Full name of your character. Titles and Nickname applies here if they exist.]
Sex: [The Biological Gender of your character.]
Species: [What kind of Mammal is your Character? No primates or rats.]
[Also note that there are limitations. A Rhino will not make it through a small hole and will be an incredibly easy target to hit, and a Bunny rabbit will not be able to carry a great deal of supplies and loots. Or that Fully automatic heavy machine gun.]
Relations: [Any families? notable friends?]
Background: [What was your Character’s ordinary life before the activation? Mostly fluffs, but please keep it consistent with your starting skills. It will also provide what and who you know at the start. A Doctor would know more about medicine and the local hospital than a Police officer, for example.]
[ Every skills are classified as the following.]
[ VEasy Skills 2 points to buy, 1 to increase per level]
[ Easy Skills 4 points to buy, 2 to increase per level]
[ Average Skills 6 points to buy, 3 to increase per level
[ Hard Skills 8 points to buy, 4 to increase per level]
[ VHard Skills 10 points to buy, 5 to increase per level
[ You don’t need to have all the skills ever. If you have a high enough skills in Medical, for example. Then you’re more than likely to also know a thing or two about First-Aids. And maybe even a little bit of surgery or drug dosages.
Having some skills in ‘building’ will means that you know your way around tools and can work on carpentry and the likes. Consult your GM if you’re uncertain about your skills!]
Skillpoint: 10 [Everyone starts with 10 points.]
-Small arms 3 [Every Agent are trained to use small arms at the very least. Easy skill]
-Athletic 1 [No fat, flabby agents here! you start with a free Athletic skill. This helps with running and not running out of breath. Average skill]
-VHard Skill [Choose a free VHard skill. This should be taken from your background and is likely what you’ve lived your life doing specifically. A doctor would have Medical for this.]
-Average Skill 1
-Easy skill 1 [These two should also be taken from your background. After you’ve chosen, you can spend your points in buying new skills or improving what you already have.]
[Now, Stats are a funny little thing. Your stats are in the range of your own species. So something like a Bunny Rabbit with a full 10 points in Strength will not be as strong as a Rhino with 1 point in Strength. But the Bunny will be much, much faster and a lot less likely to being hit, for example.
Statpoint: 5 [Everyone starts with 5 stat points to spread about. every stats takes 1 point to increase. 1 is the average of your species. 10 points is the absolute physical Max your species can get to without some supernatural intervention.]
Strength: 1
Dexterity: 1 [This is also Agility.]
Endurance: 1
Intelligence: 1
Charisma: 1
-Example Sheet-
Name: Officer Judy Hopps.
Sex: Female
Species: Bunny
Relations: Carrot-farming family, lots of siblings. Has a Fox friend.
Background: ZPD Police Officer. [Extra fluffs will be appreciated.]
Skillpoint: 0
-Small arms 5
-Athletic 3
-Security 1 [VHard skill involving on bypassing and setting up security. Helps catching people and avoid being caught.]
-Armed Melee 1 [Free average skill. Police brutality ho!]
-First Aid 1 [Easy stand-in for medical. Could save a life, maybe.]
Statpoint: 0
Strength: 2
Dexterity: 4
Endurance: 2
Intelligence: 1
Charisma: 1
[This makes Judy a very fast and agile bunny with some muscle to show for it. Endurance helps keep her going. And is slightly more durable than the next bunny.]
