I guess the game wasn't prepared to deal with creatures talking who have no souls.  It's a shame, in the last version whenever someone tried to talk but had no soul data would just say "Uhh..."  Did you try removing CAN_SPEAK?

No that's a feature, a soul is needed for the husk to translate its thoughts into a form of speech that doesn't destroy the universe.

In all seriousness, that's actually convenient. We could use your soul manipulation script to move the recently deceased into the husk.

FOOD probably. It would only affect corpses and/or living beings though.

Well, you can always have a material emission that spews clouds of cheese curds all over the place. You can then pick them up and eat them! As an adventurer. AI will ignore the cheese curds covering the ground.

Expanding on the cheese spell idea, why not have cheese from the spell grant permanent boosts to stats?

Pretty sure you would have to do the latter, unfortunately you cannot turn people directly into items, though you could probably turn them into something that dies pretty quickly.

where can I find a list of spheres? also is necromancy the death sphere spell or it that sphere open?
