You opt to visit the Temple of Light. "Naturally, it is the pillar that holds up our entire society!" Ser Spicious declares as he leads you into the building.



Immediately upon entering the place, you feel an uncomfortable sensation. As Ser Spicious begins lecturing about the importance of a cultural center, the feeling becomes more pronounced until you discover PAIN, a new, horrible sensation.

An undeniable instinct forces you to flee the temple and duck into an alleyway. The darkness seems more comforting for some reason. That is, until you sense a sudden presence!

Memories of a past life begin to emerge in your mind. A time when you were not a THING. A time before time... The Spider chuckles as it observes the realization twist your face into astonishment. Then its own face twists and turns, its head flipping into a new position with a distinct crack.



The Spider drops a SACK at the ground before rapidly retreating into the deep darkness, leaving you conflicted and confused.

"Primordia? Where did you go? Are you safe?!" you hear Ser Spicious calling, rather loudly.

Ser Spicious' face melts in a way you've never seen. Up to this point, his gestures, movements, and speech have all been mechanical and sudden. But now, his posture softens slowly, a look of concern gradually forming on his face.



The trip through the Home District is silent. Ser Spicious leads the way without looking back, while several passerby give you an odd sidelong glance, but nothing further. None of the Sers you pass by seem to notice or care about either of you, moving as mechanically and predictably as Ser Spicious usually does. However, you notice that Ser Spicious' march is ever so slightly variant in comparison. You arrive at his home.



"Here it is, where I rest. I have two beds, which I alternate resting upon. To preserve balance. You may choose either. On the table resides my block puzzle, which was gifted to me eight years ago when I moved to this town. I solved it in fifteen minutes. I may retry the puzzle once I forget all its intricacies. Perhaps I'll be able to solve it in ten minutes next time! I have one companion, Icy, my pet Cold Fish. She inhabits a globe of ice, which she is able to swim through effortlessly."

Remnants of your tears fade as Ser Spicious points out each of his belongings. He throws you a small smile. "I will go travel to the commissary, whereupon I shall procure us a meal. Feel free to explore my home, for what is mine is yours for the remainder of my guardianship." Ser Spicious leaves you with your thoughts.
